Hi All . So this is my first post here.

My name is - well you may call me Maz.

I hail from the Southern Hemisphere from a country in Africa. As my hobby is illegal here, so I shall not disclose my exact location save to say I'm from the Southern part of Africa near to the coast.

I started my grow on the 27th September 2017 . Outdoor growing season here is from September to April. I started a bit late but the weather only warmed up later then usual this year.

Here is the input information for my grow:

PLANTS: 15 Plants total
METHOD: OUTDOOR (money is low)!

GENETICS: Bagseed -

12 Plants: Local Strain of Weed (Sativa Landrace) - Best I have seen in a long time and a very very nice smoke
3 Plants: Unknown "indoor" strains from friends bag seed (he buys really really good shit)

LIGHTING:

Approximately 7 Hours of direct Sunshine, rest of the day is Indirect (Stealth issues) - Sunrise:4:51 am Sunset: 18:44

MEDIUM: SOIL, CONTAINERS (7 L), NURSERY BAGS (9 L) -

Growmor Potting Mix - 70 %
Organic Bonemeal (Efeckto) - 10/20 g to each pot/bag
Rose Fertiliser (5-1-5) - 10/15 g to eaach pot/bag
Perlite- 20 %
Growmor Seedling Mix - 10 %

All mixed up together and used in each pot/bag

NUTES:

Efekto - Nitrosol Organic plant food: 4-1-3 (6) - Apparently it is organic and doesn't burn
Wondersol Kelp liquid - No really nutes but hormones

1/2 strength at present every second week.

WATER:TAP WATER with PH of between 8 -9 PHD To between 6 -7 with White Spirit Vinegar

TRAINING: TOPPED To 3rd or 4th Node and LST on a few

EXTRA INFO: BURNED PLANTS WITH NEEM AND SOAP MIX about three weeks ago
LOST ALOT OF LOWER FAN LEAVES SEEMS TO HAVE RECOVERED THOUGH

This is my second grow - first was years ago and i was not allowed to do much with it (no nutes etc).

Pictures will follow soon.

BASICALLY I WANT TO KNOW MORE EXPERIENCED VIEWS AND INPUT ON PLANT HEALTH AND SIZE

Welcome to Roll It Up.

You may not be able to post images for a little while. You need to get "likes" up and be on here for a couple days I think.

I wasn't able to post images initially either.

I can't really offer much of any help. I grow in small spaces, indoors. But, best of luck with that grow of yours.

It's okay, you can tell us you live in South Africa. There are a few other members who live and grow there, too.

As strange as it may sound, research how to grow tomatoes in your area. Forget the grow stores, just go to normal nurseries and discuss outdoor gardening of tomatoes. Buy what they suggest and use it as directed. You'll spend less and get good results for your first grow. Don't get complicated!

It's a plant. Enjoy!

And welcome to RIU!

Ah A person as deductive as their Avatar. Good guess and you arr spot on! Twenty points if you can guess the province?

May I ask who these other SA members are and how can I view and/or find there posts? Would like to read about there setups and experiences. Do you perhaps have links? I have tried searching South Africa before and come up with irrelevant stuff.

I did exactly as you suggested! Lol i am using what the local guys recommended for tomatoes and so far so good, the plants look healthy and all were able to survive and outgrow a severe burning from the soap and neem debacle. i used small amounts of each the first time and it worked great the second time I got a bit overzealous as i wanted to kill Leaf miners that have been wrecking my tomato plants leaves and had begun on the MJ. So far they have left the MJ alone bar a few leaves. The burning although harsh on the plants seems to have discouraged them for now....

I just have not seen many real plants up close and wanted some advice as to whether I am on par or not! I look forward to your comments.

Thank you for the welcome. How do i up rep you?

If you hang out here you'll figure out who's who.

I'm gonna guess you're in C-Town, but I don't need confirmation.

No one in an illegal growing area wants to advertise their location.

Keep following directions for tomatoes. The nutrients, pests and regimens are very similar.

You've learned a valuable lesson; more is not always better! In fact, the opposite is often true.

Instead of stronger pesticide mixes, consider spraying more often. Doing so interrupts the life cycles of the pest species and achieves control better than infrequent applications.

As you get more posts and likes, you'll unlock more features of the site such as likes and the ability to post pictures. It's done this way to discourage spamming and war socks, like this 'Stink_fist' account seems to be.

Thanks all. I am having major pest problems at the moment. Last night I was busy Listing the rest of my plants and I found three snails munching on my MJ I killed them all but I know there are more.I have seen caterpillars as well on other plants but not the MJ. Will the neem oil work against the snails and caterpillars? Or is it only for insects?

I can't get snail bait atm and I have heard crushed egg shells work. How do you use them crush the eggshells and sprinkle around the plants? I will use it until I can get some bait.

Snails love beer. Use a lid or tray, fill with beer, let them drown.

Thanks for the beer tip I will go and do this.... Right now for some pictures

The first two are general shots of my grow and of a plant I like in particular

The next two are the random indoors as you can see they are a bit behind but they were started later then the local

The next three shots are of damage to my plant from the burning and also either snails or pillars

Lastly are a few shots of other plants in my grow that I like or are interesting to me

Any thoughts on the plants does

Lol your welcome Bru . But seriously who does things like that? That's seriously uncalled for. I joined this site because it seemed on point and had less trolls so much for that

I will share my growing experiences that's why I am here Bru so yeah let's see if I can make it to harvest

As far as burning with neem I've had to adjust the ph when using the Azamax brand in the higher recommended doses but had no problems at lower doses. It may have been a similar issue for you.

Anything that can be said or done will happen on an open forum. Either ignore it or go after them what ever works for you. Avoid showing weakness to a troll, they will play on insecurities.
Glad you mentioned trolls. We all get hit by trolls at some point. I am sure I have a target on my back if someone sees a good opening to rattle me.
When you venture from this thread you will be on your own against the trolls.
Just remember posting your grow on this thread is a place where the rest of us will deal with any trolls if they try to mess with you here.
