Eso's pheno hunt

I've had a chance to puff both of the tangerine powers and the goji s1.

goji s1: this girl is definitely a s1 because she taste just like momma, this goji has such a great kush taste, I love it. A balanced hybrid buzz that gets you good and stoned both mentally and physically. (I plan on creating some goji f2, in the future and when I find another goji female from the reg beans I have she'll be s1'ed. Fucking chucking those bitches out to people so they can get some of this goodness, lol.)

The tropical orange punch pheno of tangerine power has an orange flavor that is not as sweet tropical punch tasting as the smell but a strong orange knock off candy or pastry? Hard to explain but a great smoke and very indica body stone, me likey. Perfect night capper day wrecker.

The sativa/bigger tang pow has a very slight orange flavor (like lemon water when #1 is lemonade) but mainly just a smooth smoke, also potent as fuck.

Again if you got a bad tang pow from reg seeds I'd say pop a few more, they are solid. No herm issues and both grow well. I kept #1 and have a large one in flower now at 2 weeks.

I also kept the male seeing as he had great structure and a citrus smell stem rub. I'm super stoked to try the TP x goji and the TP x Berrywine cut as testers on this here tang pow male. Also I'll make sure some of the tang pow f2s and crosses find their way into some fine hands, wink wink.

As a matter of fact as soon as I go through this bud and pick out the seeds, I'll pack some up and play summer santa.
you have some great chucks happening there, good to see batches with no herm issues when so many bought packs come with that problem these days? coincidently ive got some Goji OG f2'ing right now, seeds should be ready in a few wks, looking forward to that pheno hunt

Thanks GC.

Oh yeah, you'll like the goji f2 I bet! The raspberry pheno came from the f2s if I'm not mistaken.

Once the summer heat breaks I plan on getting a 2x4 cabinet going with just chucks. Have a little fun playing god, lol.

hehehe fun for sure! can never go back to growing out bought packs just for the sake of it, there will always be a bit of pollen thrown here or there...besides i think our chucks sometimes outshine even the best bought genetics! + we know they are fresh beans & good for at least 10yrs, whats not to like ha?

Couldn't agree more. Popping your own seed stock is super gratifying. And nice pic :-)
cheers, really im a bit dismayed about some top breeders lately...new pack of recent release Exotic Genetics - 100% germination, 3 males rest girls, all girls herm except 1. PNWR new pack - none germinate. Mosca new pack, 3 germinate, 2 very sickly from day 1 and die, this is beside my chucks which show 99.99% germination rate, nil herms out of hundreds grown in recent yrs. damn the banks need to step up their game, especially with so many recent types liable to herm, it CAN be bred out of types that lean that way if they take the time!

Breeders more and more are, imo, purposely putting out inferior product to the general public than they run for themselves and other high end consumers i.e. seed junkies etc...

By inferior I mean untested, possibly bred with different parent phenos or they release f2s of the hybrid they are supposedly selling so no f1 vigor etc...

I could also just be high but my chucks tend to be solid like you say.

i think your right about what a lot of banks are doing, btw its not all my chucks are good & grow the way we would like, i just dont grow the types that are not well rounded, by the same token what are the banks doing releasing stuff that's haywire? im very reluctant to purchase again from the mentioned banks cos of being burned already...they commit suicide by releasing shit as far as im concerned, so many others to check out before returning to a bank where a person had a bad episode?

You guys have me thinking about doing my own chucks now, and the frenzy of US commercial breeders has me appreciating the stability produced by some of the European old guard. Paradise Seeds, for example.
may as well, if you chuck fairly stable types it increases your chances the offspring will be stable, if you go the zany mixed up genes like IHG stuff...well anything can happen and it may lessen the chances of stable phenos, but if you get it right with just a few chucks and the plants are approx 3' high you will have 1000's of good beans

The Matanuska Tundra from Sagarmatha is outstanding. The Hindu Kush from Sensi Seeds was a beast, and a lot of people around here are breeding the Bubblegum from Sirius.

Hell Yeah, I got my new computer today so I'll get it up and running and get some pictures up this weekend. It's a mac mini so I gotta get a tv for a monitor and I'm good to go.

The grapes 13 keepers are plumping up and getting close to chop, probably another week. Both look great but grape soda cut is turning purple in her leaves and slightly on the buds and I'm currently in high 70s mid 80s temp wise because a random May heatwave.

Then I got some dry bud shots of my tangerine powers, goji, grapes 13 runt that got hit with TP pollen and my berrywine x tp male. Planning to try and slean all the beans out of the berrywine, grapes 13 and pick through the goji and tang pows for the rest of the beans hiding in there.

Once those are collected I'm gonna get some together for the offering. I'll need help testing the male tang pow's offspring.

Fuck no, lol. I've done my time in the humid ass midwest with 100 degree 100% humidity summer days and 30+ days of below Zero temps in the winter.

That's one of the main reasons I moved out to Oregon.

My brother lives in Mid Cali and I've lived there off on an a few time and 90 degrees in January was a bit unreal having lived 30 years in Illinois. So I feel you.

Had to throw a canna venture LVTK and another of my goji s1 in a paper towel tonight. The out of the 3 peak seeds c99 I have and the 1 cookies and chem maybe 1 c99 is worth a 2nd run, the rest is nothing impressive.

I really thought about doing 2 lvtk but said fuck it for now. I'll work the two for now and see what the future holds. I would like six solid moms to use for a tangerine power male if his genetics are nice.

The next seeds I pop will be 3 of each of my tang pow x goji og, the tang pow x blue miyagi and the TP #3 f2s. Hopefully I'll be popping those Sept 1 and then get my 6 females full of tang pow pollen in Oct.

The tangerine power male I used has descent node spacing and an orange smell from stem rub. I have him in veg right now but he is just out of a solo cup so still small, I'll get pics up when he vegs a little more. Or cruise through this thread and see all the plants mentioned below all the way through flower.

All the goodie bags sent out include 10 seeds of each but only 8 seeds of TP #1 due to limited quantities.

Tang pow (TP) x grapes 13 (88g13/hp leaner)

TP x goji og

TP x blue miyagi (another cross of mine which is basically a blue dream leaner)

TP #1, indica leaner and my keeper female she is straight orange tasting and smells like tropical punch in flower, night time buds

TP #3, sativa leaner, mild orange flavor but very frost and big yield, very vigorous

I would like to give an opinion on which I think will be the best but I think they all have potential but if I had to gamble I'd bet the #3 f2s, goji and blue miyagi will produce monster yielders of fruity dank.
