Emergency!! They are dropping dead one after the other!

also it appears looking at the root damage on the 3 plants that have damped off.. they do not look promising, the roots have shrunk at the part where they have gave way ... is it possible to snip clean at that point and replant in hope of new roots growing? It's a shame they look so healthy from the top :-(

No, don't do anything else. Your plants have had enough stress and they need to establish a root system. Don't be concerned if you see very little veg growth above ground for the next 2 weeks, they don't have enough support below ground yet to do anything. Try and keep them all in direct sun, and be patient.

The stems are rotting at the base. A combination of overwatering ,high rh and temps too cool to dry the surface of the soil quick enough. Keep them indoor until the days are 24 deg + and nights a lot warmer than they are now.

Hey guys.. I have resisted from watering!! No more damping off (fingers crossed) all the stems now appear to be fine and the soil is only slightly moist no where near as damp as before... nice breeze... 20C temps and new compost is promising but I came home from work today to find my main baby who has been doing the best and has not suffered any damping that i can observe has her two big spiked leaves wilting :-(.. the soil seems dry but not bone dry and I watered thoroughly yesterday... I have been advised not to water daily since this promotes damping off which is the really big issue here... I don't want to water her thinking it will solve the wilting and find that damping off kicks in again... but I also don't like seeing her so sad :-( her sister is doing fine though which is confusing.. I watered with spring water .. full glass full in each pot and wanted to wait as long as poissible to prevent more damping off but now I have a dilema.. to water her in case this is the reason for wilting or keep her thirsty in an attempt to prevent the return of the fungus!!! Perhaps she is just wilting due to the recent stress and needs time to regain her strength and beauty? what do you think guys? the 3 I lost to damp off are now resting in peace.... even though I am far from an experienced grower you can just tell they are now in a better place... how sad :-( is it just me or do you guys feel so gutted when one of your babies dies? especially so suddenly after they were doing so well!!

Anyway guys thanks for the priceless advise so far.. it is very much appreciated. Where should I take it from here? Also for any UK GG growers is there still enough time to order and raise some more autoflowers ?

All the best fellow friends!! Find pics attached of wilting girl and her more healthy looking sister

I have all kinds of plants get bent over like that...sometimes they will surprise you how fast it will all turn to roots if you just rebury it...

You think she will make it then matey? her colour is fine its just her strength... stem is alot thicker but seems to bend over really easy.. hopefully she will recover.. do you think she will pull through even if I lay off the watering?? Perhaps it might promote her to stretch her legs and look for water

Day later with no watering she is picking up and leaves not looking as drooped. Definitely seems like an overwatering issue... will lay off for a while, all the best gents and ladies

i still don't think they are getting enough sun...in that pic you have them in a shaded area...move them around if ya have to but keep in the sun

I think the best remedy for damping-off is air-circulation at the base of the stem (.i.e. a fan blowing gently past it). Obviously, the plant would need staking). This also dries the soil surface.

@Corso the photo looks shady because I was blocking the sun taking the photo.. haha my bad! That week in England was fantastic we had brilliant weather they got lots of sunshine... a little update no more have suffered damping off (fingers crossed) despite the constant rain we have been having in the north west... I conclude (and hope new first time growers can be better prepared than I was and take something away from this thread) that the issue was a combination of overwatering in small amounts which kept the soil damp all the time, lack of air flow (bringing them in the house with no ventilation at night) and worrying too much about them.... although I am very inexperienced in terms of growing my advice to pass on to any UK grower or those living in rubbish climates attempting an outdoor grow is to water thoroughly once and leave it until bone dry, use a light compost that allows oxygen to seep through to the roots (the decision for me to buy compost that was £1 cheaper and full of shi* lost me 4 plants)... keep them outdoors as much as possible, if you need to bring in due to rain/cold put them in a room with window open and fan oscillating to promote air flow... and last of all be patient which is really what my problem was !!! Many thanks to those on here who advised to keep them outside all night.. the next day they looked so much better even though it was quite nippy... as of today they are doing great, not much veg growth due to lack of sunlight in the UK at the moment and also due to the transplant... but the stems are doing nice, much thicker and no more droopy leaves... I haven't watered for days and they still look great and the soil appears to still hold some moisture... they always have a breeze whether it be the wind outdoors or a gentle fan when I bring them in... I hope it works out... very sad to see the Kush, Blue Cheese and 2 purple marocs die from damping off, but it was my own fault :-( Their existence has however helped me to learn from my mistakes and will allow me to make a much better job on next year’s grow.

Again thanks to the people on here.. what a brilliant community.. I will stick around!!!

Much love!

Hey man I bring them in on rainy nights and put them in a room with window wide open + oscillating fan... I must admit though everytime they have been out all night they look much more "refreshed" in the morning than if they have been inside overnight... must be due to being an outdoor strain? They have been doing quite well despite their bad childhood... what do you guys think? I think perhaps 4 weeks from seed now? maybe 5 maximum?

How are the rest of you folks getting on with outdoor growing?

nah man..everything you buy ..lights,soil, fans, nutes is an attempt to mimic the outdoors... the outdoors are ideal..your house is not..leave the outside 24/7 and they will be better off..
