OK I finally Figured out that the temp of my soil for some reason is too high and that is why my sprouts die and/or grow slow.... But HOW in the world do you bring soil temps down???????????? Soil Thermometer has a range that says cool to warm, in the middle is a open spot (I am assuming that zone is optimal) I am in the warm area. I am using CFels and I have a heat problem I would hate to see what would happen if I had HPS

If I said Take your time getting back to me would I get a better response. lol

What I did (In my distraught state) was pull the drain pan off, stick the pot in a plastic bag, and then stuck that in a bowl of Ice. The plastic is to keep the ice water from being sucked up by the soil but yet let it cool the soil at the same time. SInce the Ice water is neiter PH'd nor chlorine checked and I don't wanna drown the poor sprout.

Sorry i wasn't online whn you posted and i do remember your story except for your location. I don't think that is the problem unless you already did the ice bath before you took your temp. why do youthink that is it. didn't your vegatables grow in that range?

Well The Soil Temps were high 80-85 Deg now it is in that center zone, the lights are heating things up and I have lots of fans. Like I said I would hate to think about my issue If I had HPS or MH

The Previous PIC is DURING the Ice Bath. Before the needle was at the right side of warm.

This PIC is after. Sheesh now Im bathing my sprout. Wait got to go get it a carriage with a portable lamp and a hood for dark.

that thermometer is reading 20C/68F thats no where near too hot. roots even like heat to 75. this is not your problem, an o.k. guess tho.

Yes That thermometer is NOW Reading 20c/68f AFTER the Bath. Before it was reading 28c/82f and I was like ?????????????????? still wondering how I am going to KEEP it from climbing UP again and again I can't keep doing the ice thing.
