A lot of what I ignore tends to be domestic American stuff, American's business. Kids in cages and women losing basic human rights are everybody's business. America maintaining it's liberal democracy is vital to Canadian interests, so is getting rid of Putin. I follow the Trump shit show closely, but the danger to America is far greater than him, as his supporters go slowly into that great goodnight, kicking and screaming all the way. Smuggled American guns are a big issue in Canada too, so I stick my oar in there too!

I'm optimistic mostly by training and pessimists never get anything done or changed, they are defeated before they even begin. In the struggle of liberal democracy with totalitarianism and imperialism the choice is stark and it could not be more black and white, it is the difference between truth and lies.

Most of these fucks know the truth at one level or another, they are just stupid assholes, even the lunatics know, but can't accept it, many just don't give a fuck, they are at war.

Lies work and Trump was the King of those, it was painfully obvious, as were most of his character flaws and deficits. He was clearly unfit for the job and proved it repeatedly, yet 10s of millions would still vote for him instead of a values driven man like Biden. He was the most incompetent and horrible human being possible, yet all he had to do was blow the right notes on the dog whistle. It started with a big lie about Obama, birtherism and ended with another big lie, stop the steal and everything in between was a complete shit show for 4 humiliating years. In 2020 the number of votes he lost by was shockingly small, in 1933 Hitler got just 33% of the German vote and he was a Helluva lot more electable back then than Trump!

During a wide-ranging interview on the Australian radio's The Kyle and Jackie O Show, the father of billionaire industrialist and constant media obsession Elon Musk played down his son's accomplishments before discussing his recent weight gain.

During the over-the-top discussion, Errol Musk claimed that other members of his family have substantial accomplishments, telling the hosts, "You know, we are a family that have been doing a lot of things for a long time. It's not as if we suddenly started doing something."

He also added that rival son Kimbal is his actual "pride and joy," adding that that Elon's brother is also a "billionaire" -- albeit a single-billion billionaire.

Pressed on photos of a pale and fleshy Elon that have popped up in the tabloids recently, Errol told the hosts, "Elon is very strongly built but he's been eating badly," and stated he has been urging his son to use a supplement called garcinia cambogia to help with his weight gain.

Asked if he owns a Tesla, the father of the car company founder admitted he drives a Bentley, later adding that he also owns a Mercedes Benz.

Elon Musk is trying to back out of his $44 billion bid to buy Twitter by claiming the number of active users on the site was far lower than it appears, but the social media company said his methodology is fatally flawed.

A new court filing from Twitter calls out the Tesla CEO for making “factually inaccurate, legally insufficient, and commercially irrelevant" claims about the tech company and its users, and said the tool Musk used to calculate the number of inauthentic accounts on the site listed his own account as a likely bot, reported Gizmodo.

“The Counterclaims are a made-for-litigation tale that is contradicted by the evidence and common sense,” Twitter said in the 27-page filing.

“Musk invents representations Twitter never made and then tries to wield, selectively, the extensive confidential data Twitter provided him to conjure a breach of those purported representations," the filing added. "Yet Musk simultaneously and incoherently asserts that Twitter breached the merger agreement by stonewalling his information requests."

He sees the writing on the wall and is trying to save face to avoid looking bad by losing the lawsuit. All he has to do is make up some cute little reason why he "chooses" to move forward and his trump-like cult followers will eat up whatever he says.
