Elite Genetics

My favorite strains have been lemon haze and og kush. I don't know the og kush breeder, but when I smoked it... the flavor reminded me of the color red for some reason, like maybe kind of a fruity flavor i'm not good with smells/flavors. But that shit was the most potent weed I've ever smoked and it would put me to sleep like black out if I smoked too much, and I have the tolerance of a serious stoner.

That said, I had some more og kush that wasn't so potent and was just kinda trashy other than decent bag appeal. Same with lemon haze... the first time I smoked it was super dank and then I got a different bag at some point, and while it was hands down the most flavorful tasty bud I've ever had, I could smoke bowl after bowl after bowl and be meh...

I really enjoyed sassy sally and lambsbread too.

I don't have a big list because for years I mostly smoked schwagg... and the kine I did get no one knew wtf it was.

I'm trying to come up with a list of the most elite genetics out there.

Girl Scout Cookies - sfv cut
pre 93/98 bubba
old school bubblegum
Og 18
Abusive OG
(Cincinnati) Lemon G
(Columbus) Dumpster
(Columbus) Deathstar
(New England) MOB

what are some other elite genetics?
added
------
'91 chemdawg
grape stomper
jacks cleaner
cheese

This list is Biased By geographical location of said strain and also by time (excluding proven champion old school genetics such as NL5 or White widow)... Depends on what genes the grower can make the plant express if you ask me. Not every grower goes for quality. Hell most go for mass production 1st quality 2nd

Some strains make you spaced out while others give a body stone and others are just rediculously fruity and flavorful so it depends on what the smoker is looking for and what the GROWER can provide with said genetics.

so what are the best strains out there and why

What do you mean by "best"?

Most potent?
Highest yield?
Best flavor? (that's subjective)
Easiest to grow?
Fastest flowering time?
Pest resistance?

Most strains that are great in some of these areas are not so great in others. . .its usually a compromise.

you have a lot to learn about genetics. you list is okay alright. your local stuff like lemon g and dstar, are alright, i have dstar and have had lemong both. IMO dumpster suck deifnitly not elite.

probably the only worthwhile strain you have listed is pre98 bubba.

maybe the oldschool bubble gum, if you can find something like that lol

What do you think the future will bring us? Beautiful strains with the strength of Killing Fields and the yield of Big Bud that don't need anything more than miracle gro and flower in three weeks?

Never said your strains were not "elite". If thats whats elite to you, then it is...

Whatever you look for in smoking may not be what the next smoker or grower is looking for.

Tell us why you believe each strain you picked is "Elite"... And perhaps some of us posters who dont like saying one weed is "better" than the other will describe and recommend some that we believe to be high quality as well. I am still a huge fan of Northern Lights #5...Super high off one hit and had me hallucinating for a bit. Like I said before though any strain that is so called elite can be ruined by a grower. I also had a good time with C99, and "The dope" from dr green thumb to name a few.

Elite: elite or e·lites

a. A group or class of persons or a member of such a group or class, enjoying superior intellectual, social, or economic status: "In addition to notions of social equality there was much emphasis on the role of elites and of heroes within them" (Times Literary Supplement).

b. The best or most skilled members of a group:

Again, to me "elite" is mostly a marketing term. In fact, there was even a ceed company called "elite genetics" a few years back. That company is defunct now, and I think it was because (as predicted here: https://www.rollitup.org/seedbank-reviews/164417-elite-genetics.html ) the owner got busted.

If you want to know which are the "best" strains, you're going to have to specify what you mean by "best". Best landrace? Best inbred line? Best autoflower? Best stuff in commercial ceed form? Best "clone only" strain? "Best" in what way? Most potent? Highest yield? Best flavor? Best "high" quality? etc.

Generalizing, most of the strains that people perceive as "elite" are various combinations/phenos of Northern lights, Skunk #1, Haze (eg Jack Herer, Super silver haze, etc), Bubba-Kush, OG Kush (and other "clone only" CA kush variants), Chemdog, Sour Diesel, and a few others (eg Mendo purple, etc). There is a whole cottage industry of breeders combining these lines in different ways, backcrossing or selfing them, giving them names, and selling them.

Many of these strains/cuts are widely held, available in clone form, or have been crossed/backcrossed a million different ways into commercially available ceeds. Also, for what its worth, many of these "elite" cuts are genetically unstable, hermie prone, or both.
