What prompted the elevated idea ?

Blumats have to be gravity fed. I lost 2 plants last year to a pump going out on a long string of 100 degree days

water weighs 8 pound per gallon, so a full 55 gallon drum weighs 440 pounds....just use the blocks...

I knew how heavy it was. The mistake I made was to put the blocks on the wood table and not the other way around. Water on the ground got wicked up into the solid table and it crumbled. Not quite as likely using just form blocks. I have to get this thing a few feet into the air so I'll cut up a 4x4 and get more blocks this weekend.

I came up with a plan to use elevated drums as rain catchers, then run soaker hoses to my plants. {I want to hike the AT and still grow full season plants}
