Hi folks, I'm sure that there are plenty of more skilled electricians and engineers on this site than myself, but I wanted to start a thread to help keep our DIY electrical systems safe. Bottom line is we are taboo in some strange, sad parts of society, and we need to keep each other safe. I've known a couple people who've lost their homes to preventable electrical problems. I am more help in the areas of power control and elementary hardware stuff, but I can also try to give a hand for anyone looking for help with software side of things, if there are any python wizards on here... I could use some help.

Anyways, if you are offering advice here, please know what you are talking about, and please be able to back up whatever you say with good sources (engineering/physics common-knowledge... accept advice from anyone who references The Holographic Universe at your own risk ).

I will try to check this as often as possible to answer questions, and will keep it updated with relevant info as I think of it...
