Electricity Usage UK !

Hi guys . I'm looking for some advice from growers in the u.k.

I'm thinking of the running 2 rooms .
4 600 air cooled hps. 2 6" inch fans and a extractor in each room. The rooms will work with 1 room lights off and the other room coming on. Does anybody run similar rooms like this ? the only thing that is stopping me is the total wattage flagging up on my electric supplier .

Thanks !

Okay, for starters you’re looking at around £1500 quid a month just in electric. I had a 12kw light set up and it cost me over 3.5k a month. I suggest you find a friend who works as a live line sparky and ask a favour , as long as you aren’t living in a flat ;) bearing in mind this is highly illegal.
Or...
MAKE SURE you change your supplier before you switch your lights on. The day your supply changes over , you can turn things on without fear of raising suspicion.

Another good way is to open a business electricity account with a business supplier. That way you can have your electric useage
Put under the umbrella of a work building. That could be using welders and all sorts of high draw appliances, or a working farm office for instance. Bear in mind you’ll have to pay 20% VAT on that , but it’s worth the piece of mind knowing you aren’t classed as residential usage. Trust me.

If you’re growing for profit, it starts to become a lot harder when you weigh up your running costs. You’ll have to get smarter at trying to find a way around some of your costs, or make sure you have an unholy number of plants , as the more tops you have the more buds you’re gonna get.

At the end of the day , the general rule is , only grow in an illegal country if you can 100% put all your paranoia to one side.
Good luck :)

that seems steep, depends what you're paying for electric but i think here its about 12p per kwh. wouldn't that make 4 x 600w at 12hr a day about £110 a month ? edit: actually 14 - 15p is more common now, so £130 - £140, so like £280 a month for the dual setup

op- it's not huge amount of watts but you might get a call from the company asking why your usage has gone up drastically.

Business tariff so I had VAT to pay.
And what about veg time too .. that’s 18hours a day of lights on. Fans , dehumidifier etc etc. Can’t just count flower time.
I also just noticed he is only using 4 600w, I thought it was 4 in each room.lol.

My previous post still stands. I’ve been in his position and have done all of the above atbsome point
