Hey y'all,
We are looking at the possibility of buying straight-up bud from producers instead of just trim, because the trim prices are pretty high right now. My question is, what is the efficacy of doing, say, a coconut oil extraction in terms of what % of the THC is extracted from the bud?
For instance, in a *PERFECT* extraction, you would start out with say 100 g of bud tested at 20% THC, and the oil would have a final concentration of 20,000 mg of THC (100 * 20% * 1,000). However I'm sure the picture is something more like an 80% extraction efficacy, meaning about 20% of the THC in the bud would not be extracted, making it more like 16,000 mg of THC. 80% is what I've been being suggested, but I'm wondering if there are people with experience in chromatograph readings that could give me a better idea of what to expect.
