NVM going to buy a budget slow cooker
Thats pretty funny I saw your original post, and started to reply, but the reply showed your edit.

Slow cooker is what I do, and I wouldn't bother decarbing it first. I just slow cook it for 6ish hours. Start it up on medium to get it hot, and then turn it down to low. I bought a small one for under $20 years ago. I never measure anything, I put in 4 sticks of butter, and let it melt and skim off the white fats from the top. Then I fill it to the top of the butter with trim, and pour in a little water to bring the level of the mixture up just under the rim of the cooker. Every so often I mix it all up a little.

All that being said, I havn't made butter that way in a few years. It always tasted like plant from the veg material. Once I started making my own qwiso concentrates I began just using that to make butter or oil. It eliminates the "weed" flavor. It also makes it easier to have a rough dosage on the butter or oil right from the start.
