ec

EC is not like PH in that way. Do some researching on EC. In simple terms it's a measurement of how much nutrients/feed is in your water. So depending on a bunch of things it varies, there are no real set EC values you should abide to going into this. You can begin to create your own values to abide to once you figure out your whole setup and how everything works.

Read this then too to get some understanding:

rdwc 1.4-1.8EC full strength.

depends on stage of plant life. lighting used. environmental conditions and strains all play a role in determining this figure.

Would ec be effected between stand alone dwc vs rdwc, assuming those were the only variables? i know my plants take higher EC in my nft/ lp aero systems( 2.0-2.4) than they do in stand alone dwc(1.6-2.0), all same strain. I'm assuming because of nutrient availability to the roots, but there are other factors in my room that could be contributing to it. I might be giving a small (4site) rdwc a try soon, I think the larger water volume will help temper res temps in summer.
