EC Meter

how necessary is a ec meter in hydro my local grow shop said i dnt really need 1

Lol it one of the top three things you will need, in my opion its a must

If your doing hydro (u did post in the hydro section) and they said you don't really need one than I would change shops. It's clear they don't know what they are talking about on this subject. All feeding schedules use EC/PPM for mixing the food in hydro. You need to know what your water source EC/PPM is to start with that add the food. DUMB answer from your shop. What food are you using?

Good stuff I have used it before, you might want to try some Dutch Master Zone to keep your roots healthy. Best of luck with your grow.

if you want the best meter to control all the angles get a blue labs gaurdian you will not be sorry!!

You can get away without using an EC meter if you are doing DTW or change your reservoir often.

But most don't do either of these, so it is a great tool.
