EC in long veg?

Alright lads?

ive got a chart here that says I should run an EC of 1.1-1.2 in week 3 of veg but it doesn’t go any higher than week 3

im going to veg my girls for 8-10 weeks and growers ark (my nutrient company) have advised not to go over 1.6 or 1.8 ec for veg with their grow nutrients

The chart then says you should start bloom with the same ec as what you fed in veg, so for example I ran 1.8 ec for week 8 of veg, should I run an ec of 1.8 for the first week of bloom?

any help much appreciated

So do I start my first week bloom at 1.6 ec?

or go down to 1.2
You feed the plant what it wants not what a chart says. Charts can’t see your plant. Neither can we. Post a pic of the plant. If your plant looks good then stay with what your doing. Don’t add more food just because a chart says too. Less is more.

I thought that going by the recommended chart would stop me from getting deficiencies.

thanks for your help
It may or may not. A slight deficiency is much easier to correct then a plant that is toxic. I suggest if you raise the EC you do it very little and watch the plant and see. Look for burnt tips are the leaves praying or are they curled down. Overall color deep green or light green. Etc....

Sometimes going by the chart will have you overfeeding causing nutrient antagonism which can cause some nutrients to be locked out causing deficiencies.

The EC levels some of the companies have you feeding according to their charts are ridiculous. It's no wonder that so many growers using cannabis specific nutrients and following their charts have all kinds of nutrient issues and end up harvesting crispy fried plants with dead leaves.

Those charts are just like the flowering times from breeders. If you follow feeding charts you can very well overfeed your plants just like if you mark a harvest date on a calendar based off breeder flowering times you'll likely harvest before you should.

Hmm I should really learn ec, but early veg I use 500ppm anything else is getting 700ppm. Flower I range from 800-1100ppm depending on what the plants looking like and what stage of flowering it's in.
