Ebb And Flow Question

I recently changed up my ebb and flow system.I initially had a couple of 6 x 24 window sill boxes with a flood line and a drain tube.I was pumping the nutes directly into the boxes.Well i had leakes and other minor root issues (root bound)so i decided to get some large flower pots and set them in a tub and flood the tub in turn filling the pots through the drain holes on the bottom. Since ive done this with my new batch ive had severely reduced growth rate. The plants for the most part look pretty healthy, just not growing very fast.they've been in this new system for almost 3 weeks.I have grown this strain 3 times now and the only big thing ive changed is how they flood.
Could it be from not circulating the water through every individual plant site or am i looking at other problems? :wall:

What are the ppm's and how often are you flooding?
Is the water draining completely out of the tray/ growing container?

My ppms are at 650 im only flooding once every day,and the pots have 13 3/8"holes in the bottom. the actuall tub has a fill and overflow and one 1/4" hole right in the center to get every last drop. Now the growing containers do basically sit flat on the bottom of the tub but seem to drain fine.

Does the level that the water sit at stay the same inside the container as it does inside the tray?

I have just recently started playing with my ph.I bought some up and down.I use R/O water so when i add my nutes it takes a couple of days to get to normal running it through the media (pea gravel and coco choir)it usually drops to about 4.9 and levels off at 6.0.For a couple of days it runs on the low side but doesnt really affect the plants.A freind of mine told me i have to stay on top of the ph,so i bought the two bottles.I added ph up when i changed the nutes and brought it about half way to 5.1 cause my media will make it rise also.I checked in a day and it was 7.4 so i added ph down and brought it too far down and had to go back up.
Can too much of either acid in my nutes do something bad to the solution?

The growth might be stunted because of the pH rollercoaster you are putting your plants through
On your next rez change mix the water and nutes and then pH to the proper level before turning the system on
When you check on your system everyday add pH up or down to keep the level the same as when you first adjusted it
Don't adjust the pH more than .4 if the plants are in the system

I always adjuste my water at least 2 hrs before feeding unless i went to low or too high. How long should the nutes sit after adjusting. There were no directions on either bottle other than 1 capful moves the ph up or down 4.00 in 1 gal.

They shouldn't have to sit at all, once you add the pH up or down and mix it around the pH change should be instantaneous

cool man you have been a huge help.
One more question, on the upper leaves of the plant the leaves have five fingers,Three of these fingers (middle and 2 side) all point the same direction kind of overlapping each other. will ph possibly cause this?

I can't really picture what you are saying but the leaves will curl and fold when there are pH problems
