Ebb and Flow

Pros: You can use one light for the whole tray. It takes up small space. Its perfect for a true SOG run with clones.

Cons: Bigger plants might be crowded.

Ebb and Grow

Pros: Full size plants have alot of room. Mobility.

Cons: You need alot more light to cover the 12 buckets. This system takes up alot more space. Overall grow time is longer for a full cycle. Alot more to clean at cleanup.

i use flood and drain with 4x8 tables/115 gallon reserves/6x6 rw cubes and it works great,i use 3 600w lights per table BUT i use alot of nutes and i had 2 buy a 500.00 merlin reverse osmossis filter 2 fill my reserves on my flush/nute day, my friend uses the bucket way with 36 plants he only has 2 1000w lights and he uses half the nutes i use and he gets by with a small cheap ro filter, in the end its up 2 you i like flood and drain myself but it uses more nutes and ro water

thanks raider, i was also going to use a 4x8 table. but i was going to use 2 1000watt lights instead of 3 600watts.
Do you think 3 600's is better then 2 1000's?
thanks

YES! You will be able to put the lights closer to the tops of the plants, have better coverage and fewer hot spots. 600's are the way to go! 750w ballasts hooked up to growzilla double bulb reflectors would be the ultimate if you could afford it (you would need 4 ballasts, 4 bulbs and 2 reflectors).

yea 3 600s is alot better than 2 1000, you get more coverage you can put the lights alot closer and you get more lums, a average 1000 puts out 130k lums a average 600 puts out 95k lums, with the two 1000s you get around 260k lums with the three 600s you get around 285k lums and more coverage, look into lumatek duel 600s you can shop around and find them for about 325 i like them because 1 ballast runs 2 600w hoods/lights, 2 4x8 tables uses 3 lumatek duels thats alot better than 6 ballasts

I agree, lumatek ballasts are the way to go. You are not going to find a better deal on lumatek ballasts than this place right here: http://www.thegardendepotinc.com/7855.html

that place has great deals on 600w, 750w and 1000w. the 600w dual e is a great choice, but it is only available in 240v. same with the 750w. the single 600w and the 1000w are the only ones that come in standard 120v. oh yeah, their shipping calculator is fucked. call them and place your order so you don't get charged a handling fee.
