i didnt know you could take clones that way i thought you had to use rockwool due to air getting inside of the stem or something wich stops the cutting rooting/growing ive only known the rockwool way ive got 6 in rockwool now just starting to see roots now

It's kinda like a areo cloner. The very bottom of the net pots just touch the water so that the hydroton wicks the water to the stem. Not to wet, no rot. And not to dry, no wilt. 2 18inch bubble wands in there, lots of oxygen. Just couldn't get the hang of rockwool. To wet, to dry. I would lose half my cuts by time they would root.

sounds pretty easy actually now im learning a bit more,so when you take the cutting do you just put it in the pots packed with the hydrotron to hold it in place upright ? shouldnt be long before i start my hydro grow learning alot faster than i thought lol , ive just been reading up diffrent websites about it and searching through rollitup and ovcourse your info aswell has helped me understand alot , ive got a problem with 1 of my small plants its 3weeks old and just started on nutes some of the leaves are looking wierd and feel really rubbery and not normal there busy growing in perlite mixed soil using biobizz nutes, i took some pics before but carnt put them up untill later i aint got a clue what the problem is maybe you will know when i put some pics up.theres no nute burn or nothing maybe its another type of difficencey

ok well heres the pics of that plant , also ive got a deformed seedling superskunk its meant to be and the plant with the rubbery leaves is ice

the end 2 are the deformed seedling the other 3 are the rubber leaved plant,the deforemed plants leaves feel really fluffy and the other hard and rubbery any ideas whats wrong ?

just use normal unfertilized soil from the local hardware strore mixed with sand perlite and virmiculite , ph meters broke that might be the problem but only checked it the other day , getting new 1 soon
