subbed!
your last grow was awesome, and this hempy stuff has got me loaded on new info over the last few days. I like how you have your feed rings set up, really simple, and really easy to adjust nute concentration in your res!! Your said you water 3 times a day?
My only 2cents would be cut back on the N slightly. I see you have a little bit of the claw effect and some real dark green. I got a sativa dom pineapple chunk before that was supposed to be indica and killed her with a heavier feed and by the time I cropped it didn't matter that I cut way back- the leaves were still too green and the smaller ones were like dark green little shell shapes. As a result of the imbalance the buds were wispier because the p-k were probably disrupted when the plant wanted to absorb them but couldn't. Just my 2

Gday mate and welcome to the thread :)
Yeah mate, i like things to be as simple as possible and this setup is exactly that :)
As for feeding, i feed for 15 mins every 3 hours so she gets fed 8 times a day and seems to love it!
As for the N, you are spot on, i noticed the other day that she was a bit too dark so added some fresh water to the res to reduce the amount of N. From here on she will only get half strength dr repair which has the added N in it. Good pick up man and cheers for saying something!

As promised guys, here is a pic at day 20 :) As you can see she has more than doubled in the last week, so one more week then its flip time :-D
I also topped her yesterday and sprayed with nitrozyme to encourage branching out.

Did a flush today and added the following nutes:
Grow A and B - 30mL to 30L
B1 Boost - 30mL
Dr Repair- 20mL
Silica- 6mL
Floralicious plus - 7.5mL
Rhyzotonic - 120mL

Yea it is bro it's all good I'll just cut it back like you said for now unless it still swings hard but that's really good bro. Can't wait to see what she looks like. That's why I wanna grow from clone cus the foundations already set it stone when you start them. Growing from seed takes a while for it to get strong but plants from seed are usually stronger so I know after a while she will be fine. Hit us with some pix when you can
I have noticed that my plants recover from super cropping with thick, woody knuckles formed at the super cropped sites quickly during the summer (I run Silica as well since I grow in coco and hydro). But during the winter I am noticing that the sites do not really heal, they just stay soft and flimsy. The branches don't die and the leaves and buds still form like all the other branches, but no knot and no thick repair work by the plant.

Is this temps, is it silica when temps are low...any idea? I honestly couldn't find anything out there that provided any answers. I stopped super cropping this winter until it warms up a little.

The new house in the south west is great, nothing better than getting out of shitty Perth and moving 450km south. Not to hot, like to old residents. It actually rains here quite a bit. The climate in the shed should be a lot more forgiving and hopefully i will see that in my next grow!
And since I never seem to finish a journal I will take your offer up and post a few pics up. I have a Northern Lights Auto Blue a few weeks from finishing in a pot outside which could be the first pics from me for quite a while. The Auto Blue would have to be one sweetest smelling plants I have had the pleasure of wrapping my nose around!

It may very well be temp related. But I read in another thread that the ppm's of tap water can change vastly between seasons. If you aren't using RO check out your ppm's and possibly supplement with more cal-mag or something. Fortunately I've been lucky to have solid tap through and through.

Sorry Duuudical, i completely missed your post back there i think.
I agree with the kid, it would be more a temp issue than the silica. Silica is really for cell division in the plant. Temps can have a pretty dramatic effect on plants, too low and they struggle to grow strong stems and too hot and they cant photosynthesize properly and lose strength.

Yup, and come to think of it I know people highly recommend keeping your day-night cycles within a close temp range like 65/70F at night to 75/80F for lights on. I luck out in winter and use the 2 6's as a ton of free heat! Summer bones me any time it's 75+ at night
