Earth Juice Bloom - Opened New Bottle and It Volcanoed All Over!

I just bought a new liter of Earth Juice Bloom, shook it, and then opened it for the first time. It burst open, spewing about 1/4 of the bottle out the top and onto the table -- like a mini-volcano.

I tried finding Earth Juice's support number, and found a reviewer who said that customer service wasn't much available. That seemed true: no number is listed on their website, etc.

Anyway, anyone ever have this happen? I take it that something really fermented, and was just ready to blow.

BTW, the store is new, too. So, it wasn't like the jug had been sitting on the shelf for two years.

I use Earth Juice (Grow & Bloom), never had any issues with it. Definitely never had a bottle explode on me. The Bloom is a hell of a lot less thick than the Grow, smells sweet and buttery.
The bottles aren't explicitly dated; just because the store is new doesn't necessarily mean their stock is. But, that shouldn't matter much anyways because fertilizers can typically be stored indefinitely. What might matter is if the bottle was exposed to extreme temperatures or left in direct sunlight.

an organic nute like earth juice does have a shelf life. when storing these nutes be sure to keep in a dark cool place. i always buy gallons, but what i notice is the opposite of exploding. usually the container starts to get sucked in
