Removing too much at once can also cause damage so be timely and strategic. I do it strategical just to get light to lower sites and leave the major ones. Everyone seems to have their own way of doing things so don't be afraid to try new stuff.. see your own outcome!

I NEVER take a healthy leaf off of a plant. If a leaf is blocking a bud I cut the leaf halfway down the fingers. Lower level leaves shouldn't be blocking anything though. When a leaf starts to die off naturally I pull it when it has lost more than 50% of its color.
Removing leaves will only allow better air flow. To get the plant to "focus" elsewhere as you put it, you must train the plant, removing lower shoots(lollipopping), tying your plants down(lst) are just a couple of examples of these techniques. I only recommend removal of dying leaves or leaves for air circulation...JAS
How about injured leaves?
Ones that are half cut from bugs or whatever.. During very early stage(2-3 weeks), should I cut or not?
Plus is it normal for fan leaves to turn yellow so soon? Does it indicate a problem?
Idk much, but IMO, I do not touch the leaves at all. I let her grow and do her thing, she knows what she needs. As far as the leaves that will inevitably turn yellow and 'die' off, they do so on their own. Patience is a virtue when it comes to all aspects of growing. Good luck!
