I dont really make butter or oils that often but the last time I ended up making it really week so I thought this time I wanted to make sure it was potent. And man, its insanely strong.
I used fresh trimming from the day before.
Decarbed for 45 mins, and cooked with 6tbsp of butter, 4 cups of water, for about 3 hours.
I tasted q tiny bit of butter on some toast yesterday morning, and I was still feeling it when i woke up haha. Got sent home from work cause i was sleeping lmao.
Didnt realize you could ever "take too much" of cannabis.
And yeah I guess im satisfied with the turn out.
I wish they could have made it a couple weeks more, but I was noticing some calyx tips browning. And found 1 random seed so there must be some bananas somewhere that I couldn't find

Are you positive there is a maximum amount of thc that can be absobed into the butter and that amount is what he stated? I'm not doubting you I'm actually very interested in making the strongest product with the least amount of calories or fat. I have a hard time with my weight so calorie smart choisec are important.

Op,

Glad everything turned out as well as could be expected or better it sounds.
To the best of my knowledge all solutions have a saturation point. I don't know what that is for butter, but that seems like a ton of trim/larf buds for only 6 tbsp. I could be wrong about him reaching that level I was just very surprised by the ratios.

I would bet he could resimmer the remaining mush with more butter and extract more still.

If you want strong edibles with as little fat as possible use concentrates. That will give you the best flavor and let you measure your doses as well. Just dissolve your desired concentrate into butter/coconut oil and then use only as much as you need for the recipe.

Or if your making candy or something with no butter you can dissolve the concentrate into a tbsp of everclear and add that to your mix. When the everclear cooks of you are left with the concentrate mix through your candy.

Well I removed the pots from the tent today and discovered something..
Lots of tiny little white bugs crawling around under the pots. No clue what they are.
They look like a super small, white, version of a potato bug

Can you get a close up of a nug in natural lighting? That way we can look at the trichomes to really have a good idea where to go from here.

If they're ready who gives a shit but if they haven't even turned one trich cloudy then that's a different story.
Sorry a lot of messages weren't showing up for some reason.
I'd say they were a little over 50% opaque. Sadly. But they were getting ravaged by multiple different things, and there was no hope for recovery after a certain point
