Early Harvest...

Well, just wanted to see what peoples input is.. Today durring a res change, we realize that the 3rd plant was almost dead from all this PH trouble we have had, so unwantingly, we cut her down. Got her hanging upside down in a small dark, cool place.

My ? is,

We didn't obviously have a flush done

Our hairs aren't fully ambered , about 1/3 were,

again, we didn't want to cut this early, still have 2 that are covered in resin and big buds to them, but what are we to expect from not flushing the plant before cutting?





Pretty small nugs.. 3 good branches in back, assuming about a half ounce dried..

There are lots of people that never flush their plants. Its one of those "grey areas" of growing. If any difference.. the smoke may be a little harsher than if it were flushed. I personally dont think there is a difference at all. Just mho.

even if the buds were a month older than they are, they still wouldnt taste too good.

I definately notice a difference flushed and non-flushed weed. This is a debate issue. One I don't care to get into. Excess nitrogen in pot will make it harsh.

Be selective of your herbs. The worst thing you can do is harvest early.. Your buds will taste and smell bad and will not get you very high. If you dont care how weed tastes or smells then go ahead i guess. Smoking unripe Marijuana is like eating an unripe banana or unripe tomato.. Sure it will fill you up, but will leave you feeling bad with a funny taste in your mouth. I threw away about 1/2 pound of plants last week because they didnt look good enough.. Be selective of what you grow..

It sounds to me like it really isn't a debate, it's a personal preferance thing. If a grower likes to flush, let him flush. If a grower likes to not flush let him not flush. I personally like to flush, if somebody asks me what to do I will say flush. That doesn't mean my way is the only way. Sometimes you like an early harvest because you like the high. I never harvest early unless I have to for some reason. Like early season rains and mold, etc.

Nothin sucks more then putting a bunch of time and work into growing ur babies and having to chop prematurely. I had to harvest my first plant because it hermied and I didnt want it to pollinate my sfv og kush. It was two weeks from finishing to. What a waste of sum GDP
