Early finish? Check my trichs!?

I am growing CBD Shark Haze 1:1 from seed in soil. The seed was germinated in late May and the plant was introduced to 12/12 on August 1 (56 days ago). Some preflowers were showing before I switched the lights, since I vegged it for so long. Under the loupe I see some clear, lots of cloudy, and some amber. I prefer a non-narcotic high.

All of my fan leaves are gone and the little tiny cola leaves are falling off, too. It literally looks like buds on sticks, but I don't want to chop too early...

Could it be ready to chop?

Here is another photo taken 5 days ago that might help. Looks like a couple clears with mostly cloudy trichs and an amber or two? Should I chop?

Well, I lIke the close ups with a great view of the Trichomes...

Without the "big picture" ie: a pic of the plant itself, as I feel that the decision to harvest is based on the condition of the whole plant ! Trichs, calyx, hairs and leaves...

first pic I can see several ambers...second pic is difficult to tell due to the amber lighting in the pic...

You can take her any time.. there are still quite a few clear trichs but it's up to you! I usually go to day 60...

Thanks guys. Lights just went out about 1 minute before I snapped this, so I had to use flash and be quick. Does this shed any additional light on its progress? I realize you can't see calyx hairs in this photo but I'd say maybe 10-20% of them are light green/clear with half or more orange/light brownish. Does this help any?

Dont rely on the trichs to tell you. Amber/cloudy trichs will show really early if you have root problems. And some strains just never really amber up. Instead, go by calyx swell. When the plant is ready for harvest is when the calyxs are swollen up and ready to drop seed (if it had any), then you know youre getting max yield too.

Are you still feeding em? In my opinion they look ready...your sugar leaves are turning yellow as the flowers are taking nutrition from.them to develop themselves !

Cheers

Thanks!

No, I stopped feeding about 2-2.5 weeks ago except for molasses. My last watering I did not provide any molasses. All organic ferts (fox farm big bloom)

I took a small nug about a week ago, bag-dried it and smoked it last night. It was pretty good and did the trick. Not crazy potent, but it is a 1:1 THC to CBD plant, so I'm not expecting much more than a mellow, functional high... Guess I'll break out the shears! :D

Awesome...

Educate me a bit on the molasses /sugar feeding...amount of Molasses/honey/sugar to water ratio.

My understanding is that using this as a final feed will actually lighten the green of the flower for nicer aesthetic appeal...

Cheers

ktmac: sounds like you know more than me on the molasses/sugar feeding. I've done probably a dozen grows and have used it in more than half as a form of "free carbohydrates," which another grower told me about. Something about easily absorbed food for bulking and energy--sort of like high school football players having a pasta party the night before a big game. Wish I had some actual, hard, scientific evidence! I'll do a little research before the next grow to see if it's hoopla or actually worth doing. I do about a half tablespoon per gallon.

I chopped it on Sunday as planned and actually see about 30% amber trichs on most of the buds. Sweet. I am glad I didn't go too early. Some have clear, of course, but I do think a majority are right were I wanted them to be. Calyx hairs were also mostly turned. Thanks for all your help, guys!
