Early curing? suggestions needed

Hey everyone

My WW plant was in drying stage for 6 days (hanging upside down with perfect conditions) anyways I had a space problem therefore I put them into plastic bags at the 6th day for curing stage (now it has been 4 days in curing).I dont think 6 days was enough to dry proper.Since Im a new grower, I dont know if that is going to effect anything at the finished product?

btw now when i open the bag to give them air the bag smells like grass, but when i break the bud the real WW smell comes out.It still doesnt make me that high (I guess it needs more time in curing)
What do you think and suggest?

The bud needs to lose 70-80% of the moisture before it can begin to cure. Trying to cure the buds before they are dry enough is asking for a mold/bud rot problem. A good rule of thumb is to stop the drying process when the stem is almost dry enough to break when you bend it. It will take some time for you to learn when that time is.

Any suggestions? perhaps I should leave the bag open for several days then go back to curing?

Do whatever you have to to allow the bud to lose at least 70% moisture before curing.

Alrite then i will leave the bag open in a dark and cool place until it dries more, then go back to curing stage by closing the bag. After the end of these processes u think the taste and smell will improve and i will get more high (cuz now it is not what i expect from WW)

the taste and smell will likely improve over time, some people will say that the THC content also improves. personally, I don't think weed gets noticeably more potent as it cures.

Of course it's not going to be what you expect, you haven't let it dry/cure nearly enough yet. What did you think was going to happen? You don't have any where else you can hang them? A plastic bag? Curing is best with an airtight environment.

Ok the "grass" smell is the chlorophyll breaking down and releasing gasses. You definitely need to dry them more. As far as cured bud having more THC - FALSE. Cured bud makes you FEEL higher and TASTE better because alot of the other chemicals in the bud break down that would otherwise create a different FEELING and harsh TASTE i.e. chlorophyll. What I do is hang a screen under my HPS light after I trim my buds and I dry them under the light with fans blasting on them until the stem snaps when I bend it. Don't worry about them getting too dry at this point because alot of moisture will come back when you seal it in a jar or in your case a plastic bag. Then just open the jar/bag a couple times a day to let the built up gasses out. I usually do this for a week or two, you'll be able to tell when they are ready enough for you.

oddly enough my buds tend to try really fast...my method is simple:

A) chop plant branch by branch (this is when i do my trimming...its easier than letting it dry first) then once im done i hand each branch on a wire hanger (with a closepin to keep it attached) then i hand it up in a dark place with good ventilation...

usually by the next day my buds are ready for paper bags (sometimes it takes a day & 1/2 or 2 days a most...is really dry right now where i live)

B) then I place them in paper grocery bags and seal it up pretty well...every so many hours i go and open the bag for 10 or 15 min (sometimes even 20min) then shake up the buds (in my case turn them over as i leave the branches intact until they go into jars incase they are too wet to stay in the bag...making it easy to hang them back up if need be)

C) once i can get it dry enough to smoke i put in mason jars (at this point i remove the weed from the stems). seal it...open a few times per day for 10-20 min.

mine usually are ready in 1 week on average

you must release the moisture from your buds before curing...then the taste, smell will get alot better if its dried properly..........

So I dried them for 6 days and cured them for 4 days, now if I go for drying again for several days and again go for curing, you think nothing bad will happen to the finished product? is it totally okey in my case to go back to drying?

A little trick I learned is if the bud gets too dry, place a couple stems in the jar and the moisture will even out and revive the buds.
