Dyson vacuum cleaner - which is the best model?

Any Dyson owners aboard?

I'm looking at getting my mother a Dyson for her anniversary and was wondering which is the best value - either the V10 Cyclone Animal or the V15.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I have been disappointed by Dyson. My animal is a great floor vacuum but the whole accessories apparatus seems like an afterthought. The hose comes from the base and is very stretchy so you end up with a lot of effort if you want to clean windows, walls, etc. Or the base starts following you around knocking into stuff.

I love my Roomba however. Mapped my house, never bumps into stuff, empties itself. All around great. I have an earlier Roomba that just wanders around and I have to empty it myself but it's still great.

Disappointing for the price, same with the bladeless fans. I tried it I said hey they must be really good or they wouldn’t be so expensive nope there just expensive so people will say what I just said and buy it

Skip the vacuum. Rip up the carpet and put down flooring. Carpet is a dirt magnet and holds all kinds of crap and germs regardless of what vacuum you use.
