back to the topic, a while back i posted on the ROLS no-till (recycled organic living soil) thread if there was any chance of later on, re using the soil i have in my 3-15 gallon containers

the reply was that the foliage pro i will be using it going to screw up the biology of the soil and then all hope is lost for that idea
Total bullshit. Gotta ask, why are you taking his word for it as opposed to questioning his agenda. If I was a betting man, he is another one of those organic wackos that continues such spin. In reality, you don't need "any frickin' biology". Your plants need the 16 essential elements - think water culture. The irony of their spin that "chemicals kill the microbes" is that organics ARE chemicals or they wouldn't work.

I don't like recycling my soil as it usually contains eggs of critters such as fungus gnats and stuff. If you compost it getting the pile up to the usual 170F, that's different. Also, recycle potting soil never has the soil structure it originally had. The organics have broken down. I add soils used for growing to my veggie garden. Such was the case with this rootball. It's the same one from the 4 cola plant posted above. And it never fails, mother nature can be brutal. Notice the duct tape? Storm came along, split the trunk right down the middle to the soil line but after taping it together, rejoining the 4 scaffold branches the best I could, it really produced big time.

Rootballsend.jpg

Big hole goes straight down into the trunk!

You need to work your compost pile and keep the meat out of it. Make sure the organics have enough N. Source can be from manure (my choice is horse) or if you want to kick up a notch throw in a handful of ammonium sulfate and water in. If you're not up to turning it with a fork, buy one of those compost aerators, the kind you drive in and pull up, the kind with pivotable wings. My compost pile at the old house did steam. Sounds weird, but me and my friends would drink beer in the back yard and use the compost pile for a urinal. Texas tea sure do make gude compost!

That's what puzzles me. If this guy is legit (isn't taking pictures of watches in his Dad's office or of certain properties), then what in the hell is he doing flaunting his "wealth" in a pot forum as if I or anyone really gives a shit? Why does he have a need to fish for an ego stroke, especially in a forum of stoners (most don't have a pot to piss in) as opposed to a 'Forbes Top 100 Richest in America' forum? Sorry, but real tycoons, those that have money, power, and influence, are NOT posting to pot forums unless they have a screw loose! It's freakin' hilarious!

I have plenty of money in not only in real estate but stock, bonds, mutual funds and bank investments..... many I've been working on for 30 years, most are IRA's, but I don't find the need to flaunt my wealth. And hell will freeze over before I reveal pix of my farm op, although I have shown quite a few pix of pot growing outdoors with the irrigation lines clearly in view. :) For example.....

A month to go on a O. HAZE:

View attachment 2952085

4 main cola, staked but such heavy colas they still bent down to the ground. This after a series of heavy rains and no bud rot:

View attachment 2952086

Having said that, I do share some my thoughts on certain investments as you probably read about a month ago when I made a post saying I was going into cash out of certain mutual funds and transferring money around. That was over at the Riddle site, if you remember.

Make it a great day,
UB
You gotta send me some beans UB..This plants are superb.I want the seed from the 2nd photo.Perfect size :D . Also it's kinda ''iffy'' on why a guy would post that much.I could care less tho.Nice toys..!!

Sorry, with a few exceptions perhaps, my days of mailing seeds are over.

That was one of my own crosses, an old Positronic Haze X Sensi Skunk. Phenotype came out very sativa. Gotta show what it looked like right after upcanning and then in June. It was a beautiful plant and an auto flowerer. Showed flowers in early May.....really weird considering the norm for a flowering response should not have come until August. Sensi is known to play games with ruderalis.

I never have seen someone with the wealth that can afford the supposed toys and homes Scoopy poo listed that would flaunt it as he has.....it's just not done....that and the photos are all too professionally done for me to believe they are legit.

I may be wrong, and scoopypoo just has too much time on his hands, or like UB says, is living in his well-to-do parents house and claiming them as his own.

I can't believe I'm getting into the name-calling.......must.......get......stoned.

that's why i gave away 2 gift certificates last year to a hydro store. both to long time members who posted about it afterward. absolutely nothing in return...just gave them away in the toke and talk section. also, i have about 4 videos on this forum (and in my sig) which lead to my youtube page. plus, my face is in several of those pictures along with pics of the same pickup truck sitting next to one of the houses. on top of that my gardening thread has been going on for a while now.

maybe i do have too much time on my hands. i don't belong to Facebook or any other social media site. i guess i get my fix here.

whether or not you believe me is entirely up to you. that wasn't the point of posting the pics. the point was to prove UB's allegations wrong but that clearly can't be done cause he's a master at avoiding questions and changing the subject.

claiming that i am a fraud is pointless and just makes you guys look like haters. above and beyond posting pics with my profile page and pics with a printed page showing the date and my screen name in front of my grow equipment and plants there really isn't much else one can do to prove himself on a forum. after that point, anyone claiming he is a fraud without evidence is clearly just trolling. good luck with that.

I don't think this is 100% bullshit. Nitrate producing bacteria use ammonium/urea as a source and make nitrate as waste, which the plant then takes up as it's main form of N. Like most other lifeforms, a high concentration of waste is not a good environment. The more N in ammonical form means faster production of nitrates by bacteria. The bacteria in the soil balance this ratio of NH4:NO3.

I personally wonder why people insist on using hydroponic formulations for soil when something like jacks/peters classic or even MG at 1-1-1 would work just fine. Using DG FP in soil just seems counter-intuitive to me, like using soil as a hydroponic medium.

If you want to use a hydroponic formulation on soil so bad, why not just switch to an inert medium?

the reply was that the foliage pro i will be using it going to screw up the biology of the soil and then all hope is lost for that idea

Thanks, didnt wanna be the only ass hole saying it. On a side note, any idea why people who grow in soil and have a plethora of dry salts would even buy/use a store bought liquid nute? I dont get it

Hi 'nugglets'....or would that be 'PhillipChristian'? Got the inside story from a very credible source that you are indeed a liar, a poser and a troll and have been banned several times at RIU. Your MO is to derail this thread and possibly get it closed and you started by attacking me, which is OK, I don't care. BUT, before someone takes this to potroast and hands your ass to you, I strongly recommend you hand the keyboard back to your big brother and find another agenda.

I think there is more wiggle room when one uses soil and a complete food. That's not what I do but for a beginner looking for great results, maybe some fox farm dirt and a veg formula from start to finish, guaranteed success.

way to go sherlock holmes. you unearthed the truth that has been talked about for 2 years on this forum and even in my own journals. just because it isn't your way, doesn't mean it's the wrong way.

It is quite silly...why the fuck did you bring it up in the first place?

and for the record....you started the attacking and namecalling....as per usual. When you went off several pages ago about how there is no difference between hps and mh.

Nice try trying to deflect blame again.

I must have 10 different brands and mixes of foods, some in 25 lb. bags. I play games with them. For example, if I need a green up, then I might mix some ammonium sulfate (13-0-0) to Jack's Citrus FeED (20-10-20) to create a ratio of say......3-1-2.

There is a big difference(s) between the lame cannabis watered down "nutes" aka 1-.5-2 and Dyna-Gro 9-3-6.

No, I attacked the message, not the messenger. You guys can't seem to wrap your heads around that concept. I started attacking the (newbie) paradigm that MH lamps control stretch, even pointing out my avatar which was grown start to finish with a HPS.

Shit, I attack AN and you AN lovers have to be unscrewed from the ceiling. Now....if I call you a dipshit or such, it's because you deserve it.....shit-fer-brains. :)

the concept you can't seem to wrap your head around is so fucking what? You pointed out one picture of one plant that is nice..yes

I could point out THOUSANDS of pictures of lanky fucking plants pulled off the internet of other peoples hps only grows. And thousands more of nice tight mh grown plants.

Agreed there would obviously be an unlimited amount of contributing factors to those pics. But still.

WHy is it YOU are the only one I have ever heard this from after over a decade doing this?

and you still have yet to produce any credible evidence supporting your claim....Also given that almost every book I have ever read on growing says your claims (on this subject) are FALSE!

You have the balls to claim a "placebo effect" between the growth patterns of mh or hps grown plants?

hell I did a google search on the subject and guess what?

I couldn't find a single other page backing your claim up.

and that graph you could have printed on your computer or those pages I couldn't make out don't really count.

Have a university study? ANYTHING other than your "experiments" that you supposedly did thirty years ago?

I mean if you are going to rebuff common growing techniques/pracitces without any supporting evidence than you are no better than that other revolutionary grower from texas finshaggy.

Ok, il use your set up for an example, iv read how you will dump salts into water to make a stock solution that you inject into your irrigation lines, what purpose would you have to use a store bought nute? Thats my confusion. If you grow in soil & buy bulk salts what purpose would Dynagro serve in your set up?
