I use the grow with the bloom as recommended by homebrewer to get the ratios that are needed for best growth (3-1-2). I did buy a small 8oz bottle of foliage pro to see how it does in veg. The first feeding was last night on a 2-3 week old AK, and 2-3 week old Purple Buddha. Both started from seed then moved to 2 gallon coco pots. If the foliage pro works well for veg I will keep it and use the grow and bloom to get the flower ratio to 1-3-2. Of course I always use Pro-tekt added first to the water.

Grow + Bloom gets you closer to 1-3-2 which is good for hydro but bad for container gardening. I have some theories based on some lab data I got back as to why 1-3-2 in hydro works better than 'high N' formulas but I'm not going to share that info here. PM me if you'd like.

If you're in coco, foliage pro or grow is your best bet all the way through.

I'm on mobile right now so I can't message but I'm very curious in the lab data you dug up as every cannabis directed nutrient is high on N and K with about 50% less P check out green house seed co. Powder feeding, they claim 7yrs of research and have come up with separate formulas for sativa and indica dom strains, sativias appearing to respond very well to very high K while indica's do better with more N

I had great results this last run using Grow and Bloom together. Mostly Grow. I def DID add CalMag to my RO water however at between 2-4ml gal.

From my experience DG does not have enough CaMG to run without it. I have yet to try the FP yet however.

In regards to an 'ideal mineral profile', I have not seen a difference between indica and sativa but I have noticed a difference between hydro and dirt.

Neither of which needs calmag but do whatever ya gotta do.

Thanks, that is what I am currently doing as well, just started with a new batch of clones tree days ago, plans are looking good so we will see what happens.
What rate are you using for the Protekt ?

I use enough to balance the pH. 'Grow' needs more protekt to balance the pH than does Foliage pro.

Hola amigos, what's the latest? I'm getting ready to flower another rip and trying to decide if grow all the way through bloom is the way to go? Or if a fifty fifty mix would be more the way to go? I am using straight coco.....

If you only have grow and bloom, I'd say grow all the way until harvest. If you have foliage pro, that will work even better than grow in my experience.

The calcium carbonate in your tap water may be interfering with the uptake of the Ca in your plant food. I use RO and additional calcium beyond what the DG base supplies is absolutely NOT needed
I'm new, as a matter of fact, this is my first post. Using Coco (Coco Loco), filtered tap water, from seed under 1200 LED, 4x4 tent (1st grow in the first week from seed) do you still think Foliage Pro is better than Dyna Gro-GROW? And do I need to use Cal-Mag?

I haven't started in any nutrients. I bought DG-Grow and Cal-Mag. Now after reading I'm thinking about returning it for Foliage Pro.

Another question does I need an air-stone to give bubbles to the water or something? Trying one plant in a 4x4, want it to be big. Sorry for bouncing around but I'm stuck trying to figure this out.

Last question someone off subject. Does my tent need to air outside with an inline fan and carbon filter? Like do I have to cut a hole in my wall for exhaust or can it just go into the 10x14 sealed room it's in?

Sorry for being all over the place here but any help is appreciated. I'm a real green rookie at this point.

@homebrewer I have spent days going through your posts trying to figure out which dyna gro products to switch to and trying to figure out feeding schedule. I'm currently using current culture rdwc systems with fluence led lights. What do you recommend I run for Veg, and what for bloom, and can you please help a newbie like myself figure out a feeding schedule all the way through. You're the man brother, greatly appreciate your knowledge

I don't let air out from tent. The carbon filter sucks air in from tent and releases it back into tent. Use it just to remove smell and I don't want to waste CO2 from tent.
