Excellent! I'm guna look into this cfl business n see what I can find out,.basically I know jack shit about it.so I need to research a bit, as for the plants since yesterday's watering they have sprung up loads!! All of them have produced a whole set of leaves, all developing still but they all look perky especially the poorly one, shes now facing the light and can almost hold her weight on her own! Just need this filter in place ASAP!!

Does a carbon filter not vent out hot air?i thought that was guna be the most effective way?

You can use it for that i guess, but if you use cfl's and not hps you wont worry about the heat so much. Look into inline fans, here is a cfm calculator. You enter the dimensions of your grow space and it will tell you how much cfm you fan needs to be to move the proper amount of air out of the room.

With an inline fan hooked up to some flex tubing venting out of your grow room it will remove a fair amount of unwanted heat
A carbon filter will remove the larger particles from the air and eliminate any odors that are present. Although HEPA filters are the best for removing particles larger than 0.3 microns, they do not remove gases and odors. Activated carbon is quite effective for performing both of these tasks because it uses the process of adsorption to remove gases and vapors from steam in the air. Adsorption is defined as the physical attraction and adherence of gas and liquid molecules to the surface of a solid. Activated carbon filters adsorb these molecules.
Activated carbon is a material that has been carefully tested and activated to increase the internal surface of the filter to the range of 950 to 1150 square meters per gram. The gases and vapors are held on the internal surface and is where the filter does its work. When the gas molecules come in contact with the surface of activated carbon particles, they rest on a large surface pore of the particles. The unbalanced forces outside and inside of the carbon particles cause the gas molecules to move down into the smaller particles of the carbon where it is trapped and held.

Bloody hell! You obviously know your stuff! Yea thats what I had in mind a 6" carbon filter with inline fan, according to the calculator it's says 33 cfm is required for the dimensions of my room and with an air exchange every 3 mins which ive heard is about right?
Also I know my plants should be at a PH level of 6.3-6.8 and me being a novice could you give me any advice on how to properly PH test accurately? Ive been testing the water levels and keeping it at 6.4 on average but I tested 2 of my pots yesterday and they were ranging from 7.0 to 7.8, I made sure the pots were 6.4 when I first planted the seedlings and thought if the water was balanced it wouldnt really rise or fall. Will I need to test both the water and soil everytime?

UPDATE DAY 14:
i dont think they are doin to badly considering the heat is stupidly hot in there, leaves are curlin from the heat but nothin i can do yet til i get this inline fan through....

What have you done to the plant give all details, and stop watering in the center only.....
