P.s. I already told him they have to be high dollar TVs so we can get the best leds possible. (No guys I don’t think a tv has the best leds. I mean the best leds will will find in a tv)

If you get a Meanwell HLG-185H-48A driver it puts out 185w @ 48v, or ~3.85A. Wiring the driver to two strips in parallel would effectively reduce the amount of current going to each strip in half. The LT-FB24B strips have a max rating of 3.6A, so if you ran a single strip on the driver listed above you would have to slightly dim the IO pot which controls the current. If you ran the driver at 100% wired to two strips, each strip would receive ~1.9A.
So with just the 2 F strips I would wire in parallel and not in a series correct. Just about to wire these bad boys up. So from the live, positive to bar 1 , and positive to bar 2. Same for the neutral to negative.

I should not wire in series, as I understand it, that would be - form live to positive on bar 1, neutral to negative on bar 2. Then connect the positive from 2 to negative on bar 1for the series.

Trying to understand what difference in terms of efficiency and output would make between parallel and series with this current setup

You can check this out GL :joint:
* it’s a couple years old so there’s some newer strips as well

I started researching this for last years grow, think I'm going to pull the trigger on it this season. Put that stimmy to good use!

Can anyone recommend any of the new model strips?

I'm planning on going with 2 Bridgelux 5x5 builds. Would you guys recommend going with gen 3 over gen 2? I only have a very basic understanding so far, so I'm getting lost in the details.

I'm going to build something to replace one of my 1000w hps setups, and ideally something that will do a nice
4' x 8' bed by itself. Budget is under $1000, ideally.

Got the day off today, so I stayed up late last night to finish her up. Went with a 6" spread over 4" as I felt after taking measurements, this would fill the space more adequately. Here are the pics I took from start to finish. Added a ground from driver to board since it will be remote mounted. I'd say it turned out pretty good for my 1st build. Thanks to everyone for all you help.

So I have been searching for a couple days. And am now wondering if anyone knows of any good places to source parts from? I did check the links above. I was just thinking there has to be other places as well.
