Oh, so it's the shit inside of robotussin that makes people trip. Fuck that shit, there was a thread on here about that. I don't understand why people do it, do you seriously need to trip so bad you drink a fucking bottle of robotussin. Fuck that, I don't even like drinking that shit when I have a cold.

ya its pretty bad stuff no need to mess with it in my opinion. If anyone wants to really trip then I would recommend shrooms or acid, but even with those hallucinatory drugs you should still be careful.

I drank a few bottles and got sick as hell. I had to get my stomach pumped and get grilled on why "I was suicidal." I wouldn't recommend doing it.
It is a cheap trip, But not a good alternative.
DXM can actually cause blood to surface on your brain (Meaning less oxygen for your brain) and if abused too much too often can lead to serious issues.
I actually used to Love DXM, But it is Not good for you in abused dosages.

Even though it is usually taken in the form of Robitussin, DXM's incredible powers shouldn't be underestimated. There are ways of extracting it, and I don't think I've ever had a bad trip on it.
Oh, and Gondie, you might want to do a bit more research. There have been no long term health concerns that have been attributable to DXM. Olney's lesions are the usual concern, but it has been found that Olney's findings were wrongs. Diarrhea and rashes are INCREDIBLY rare, but nausea is something to count on. If you do mushrooms regularly, though, it's nowhere near as bad as shroom sickness. Panic attacks and depression can happen with any hallucinogen.
Oh, and the blood rising in your brain bit is an overplayed urban legend. Lightheadedness can happen, but it's no sign of something as serious as that
Also, only a very small margin of people are naive enough to become addicted to DXM. It's easy to love, but it's very hard to be ballsy enough to abuse. VERY HARD.

I hate to say it, but your biggest mistake is obvious.
You drank a few, meaning at least 3. The max a person should ever drink in one time is 1 and 1/2-1 and 2/3. The tylenol can be deadly in doses as high as you went after.
It's not fair to write off DXM as a whole. I've done just about any hallucinogen you can name, and I still consider dextromethorphan HBr to be one of my favorites. The main advice I can give you is extract it instead of drinking that nasty stuff. If you don't know how to, go to the DXM faq found here: Erowid DXM Vault : DXM FAQ, by William White. And for the love of all things good, MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO OTHER ACTIVE INGREDIENTS IN YOUR SYRUPS BESIDES DXM.
If only this were true to those of us that take DXM around my area... 90% of the people around here get it and get it bad...

And personally I have never been one to Drink the cough medicine but rather eat the pills. coricidin cough and cold (ccc's) seem to do the trick, But robotussion cough gells work just as well (even tho they dont have as high of a dxm dosage in them)
And personally, Id rather come down from a ball than have a skittle hangover... Although I do know a lot of people that arent easy going when coming down from coke...
Have any of you ever got the 'Bug Eyes'? Thats one major problem when you take them. If you do a large amount of them when the next morning comes you are still semi-tripping but your eyes are Huge! Not your pupils but your eyelids are so far from the center of your eyes its not even funny.
Then of course there are the shakes. This happens when you take too many too. It happens to me, At least. When I eat a box of ccc's or cough gells then I get the shakes in my legs pretty bad. I try to talk around but I just pivot on my feet like a penguin while my legs shake horribly.
But all in all its pretty good, Just not too great for your body...
And instead of extracting the DXM you could get the versions for diabetics at local drug stores, If I remember right its just DXM and water or something, Like no other ingredients.

After the house started pulsating, it just knocked me safely into a deep sleep. God alone knows what I might've witnessed...

Its a cough suppreseent you can drink it in robotussin or inhale through nose on some other stuff like Zicam or something.

yeah this shit is bad for u if u do or dont know what your doing.especially if you just think u could take some cough medicine and trip.
If your going to do it u need to look at the active and inactive ingredients on the back of the box of pills/bottle of syrup.
You only want the dxm or dextromethorphan .
everything else is bad and will fuck u up. for example some cough medicine will have just dxm as the active ingredient or like 30mg dxm and 10mg other crap then some have like 10mg of dxm per dose and like 20 or 30 mg of other stuff per dose ,so after youve taken like 300 mg of dxm youve also taken a shit load of other crap that you dont want.

Triple C's are awesome (IMO) I know they're terrible for your body, but occasionally it's pretty exciting. I have never had any negative side effects beside shaking... I'm positive that CCC's are terrible for me, but they are also the best high I have had. Just dont get into doing them a lot. Smoke instead! 
DXM is a good reason why pot should be legal.
