Hello all,
Just checking in for some tips.

Im at 32 Days (Still in Veg) (White Widow Feminized). My plan is to scrogg and super crop until i have a nice canopy of buds spread out.

When should I start pruning? I already have, my thought is to keep the lower half semi clean so when I start topping all energy will be focus into the new tops.

I have already topped it once. I plan on topping once more.

What are your thoughts, this is my first grow.

(Incase you would like to see my setup check it here

This is my first grow.

Just FYI picture of root ball. Just did nute change so they are yellowish. Before the nute change they were Brilliantly white. (Before someone says I have beginning stages of root rot)

What you feeding it? Looks like slight nute burn to me.

Its ok to have tan roots. They dont look mushy so thats a good sign.

Looks good for your first grow.

I had a small PH issue about a week ago. I noticed it made some of the leave develope weird. (For got to set my ph controller for "control" instead of "monitor")
Is that the slight nute burn your talking about?

trying to learn all i can.

Thx

I wouldn't worry about pruning yet, get the net on and start tucking that big one. I like to train as soon as possible to shorten the overall time.

pH causes leaf wrinkle and nutrient lockout

nute burn is caused by too much nutrients. the orange tip and yellowing along margins and the dark green leaves are a dead giveaway.

what are you feeding it? and at waht level.

Using three 8gallon square buckets. They are only about half way full so about 12 Gallons of water.

What kind of software do you use and hardware? I saw a bluelab peridoser for pH and a hanna multi-doser, but wasn't hooked up in your journal.

Was thinking of making my own with some 20ml/min peristaltic pumps a BNC pH and EC probes, and an arduino with raspberry pi and BNC cards. Not sure how to do the programming though. Its open source so im sure I could learn easily enough.

Assuming it is us/cm thats 2.0EC ms/cm

No wonder you have nutrient burn. Get that shit down to 1.2-1.5EC

The PH auto-doser from blue labs has been phenomenal! I love it, but I just starting using growtronix software/hardware and its changed my experience completely. I can literally watch my plants feed now.... so now I'm hooked and I have been slowly replacing all of my controlling equipment to GrowTronix. (Saturn 5 Controller, Light Controller, etc.) The last three things to get are the PH probe ($199) with the auto-doser ($199), and the Co2 probe ($349). Once I get this everything will be logged and I can really start learning what the plants respond to.

I'll have to lower the nutes on your recommendation, I always hear different shit from everyone on the nute schedules. Some say with DWCUC you should only use half of the recommended dosage, then you hear the opposite.

Thanks for the advise. Let me know if you have any questions about the www.Growtronix.com setup.

I literally was going to do the same thing as you, I bought the Pi starting the programming and said F that. Thats when I hit google and found growtronix..... its exactly what I was looking for and its done, with software. So I started selling shit on eBay and boom got enough for most of it.

Humid
6 control able outlets (also gives you up to date on how much each piece of equipment is costing you to run.....yea bad ass)
