DWC with no Air Stones! you Heard me!!!!

M8!!!!! That vid was crazy. I was thinking, "either that guy has the smallest hands on the planet or he just grabbed one hell of a donkey dick!!"

i know mate thats why i had to get a vid up the pics just werent showing the true gieth and size of the buds lol thanks for looking in mate

I read this entire post last night and can't remember seeing you mention your light setup. What kind of lights did you use and how many watts?
Were those buds as tasty as they looked?

I built rdwc last year. I couldnt keep it from leaking, i made my own seals never seen these uniseals before, but now i no were to get them, just dont have the extra $175.00 for them so still useing dwc. i think you said somewere in this thread were you got yours not to sure, i made mine to hold 10 plants and my water pump is externall, have you had any problems with leaks useing the uniseals? And if you dont mind please let me no were you got your uniseals. Awesome grow by the way, thats all i can say.

I got mine at http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/

Sqydro (and RIO community) What do think about this?

In addition to having a waterfall in each bucket, as well as the reservoir, what if you put cloning misters at the ends, instead of a wide open pipe?

This would break up the water in smaller particles and expose more surface area of each droplet to oxygen. The droplets that don't run down the side of the container would impact the surface at the same speed as if it was an open nozzle waterfall effect. So you may get double the benefit of increase surface area, as well as the regular waterfall surface disturbance.

I realize this is very much what aeroponics systems do (with the misters) but in this case, you could gain the benefit of the DO saturation (if it works) and not have to run the risky endeavor of an all aeroponic setup. I'd have to add a ball valve to the setup so I could stop the flow to the misters and allow me take the lid off without getting a nutrient rich shower.

COMMUNITY THOUGHTS?

where di you get that nutrient controller..

why did you add a valve in there. is seems like a small rez and its uneeded. you can pretty much do it manually...

you guys and your scientific instruments lol. hempy buckets and a ppm meter is the way i swing but these plants don't look half bad.

haha, its cool to keep track of things,

but he got good results with seriously minimal work and big efficiency

ty very much sir/madam lol

cup size is irreleveant mate ul not get big useless cord roots as long as you keep the water level above or touching the net cup bottom they big dreadlock roots are called air roots there pretty useless apart from support and there is a full million page thread on the tea i use mate i learned it right here, look in the stickies in the bubbleponics section thread by hiesenberg root slime cure i think its called, read alot of it its a life saver in dwc mate
thanks i wish i read this back then. currently i'm running self mixed super soil. still have my rdwc setup but think i will only do like 1 to 6 plants at a time instead of 12. later this year i hope to be completly organized at a bigger place. i also have a lil self made aero ponic set up that i have re designed each time. i need to add a filter to the misters. I had bought some small micro misters to do it true. so i have been learning alot between these 3 different styles. I have also been reading the tlo book. instead of throwing my old dirt out i'm try an recycle it. i know im going to run into some curve balls so i wont be dedicating that soil to the whole grow till i do one plant an it dont go all screwy. i also built a worm farm for nutes

sqyd... ever heard of flooming? I basically joined this forum to get in to the DO discussion as I'm planning to RDWC soon.

I'd KILL to have a DO meter right now. Flooming is considered by top pro koi vets are being the most effective O2 dissolvent on earth. I haven't figured out if it plays nice with plant roots

Flumming works well.. I just have 1 submersible pump each end of a 1m? Length veg tank...they spray straight up hit the roof/lid of the storage container, radiating outwards , oxygenating the water, it sustains 4 large and aplants a section that holds about 10 to 12 clones...

yep its fun but easy to go wrong, going vert bulb coco drippers DTW this run see how lazy growing fares out :)

peace all
