What are the benefits of using an organic soiless mix like supersoil or using an organic DWC setup?

DWC is the most zen way to grow of all the methods. very simple design. Takes watering out of the picture which thrills me. that guessing if i should water is for some one else.

Is it true that Organic Soiless mix produces more THC and DWC makes bigger buds?
Im just looking for the best quality buds not necessarily most yeild

I think the comments above are generally accurate...DWC/hydro can produce very large plants very quickly, but organic soil/soilless mixes produce buds with an expanded flavor profile.

Are they better/more potent...probably not. Some people don't like getting dirt under their nails or dealing with when to water (as justparanoid indicated above). Personally, I don't want to deal with changing reservoirs and measuring EC or TDS and pump failures etc. I love my peat-based soilless mix...

changing the rez is a bitch for dwc
its the one thing that brings it down in points for me
i really think hempy is the better option if your doing more then a few plants

I started with aerogardens then moved on to dwc, res changes are always a bitch, that's just a fact of life. I got used to checking tds and PH when i spent two years growing veggies. I spent one year growing nothing but tomatoes. So naturally i find dwc easier to work with.

Soil on the other hand, is something i know almost nothing about. I can't argue which is better because i personally haven't ever grown cannabis in soil, only dwc. Both methods have advantages and disadvantages it just comes down to which you want to learn about more.

I think it has less to do with 'what the best system is' and more to do with what fits your circumstance. I am working on a soiless grow (Promix/Perelite), and it works great for me because:

* Less attractive to bugs than straight soil, since the nutes are only added as needed; also more control over nutrient uptake than soil
* More convenient than DWC because I grow in the basement, and draining the rez would be a pain
* Minimizes maintenance-- can go several days without watering or even checking in on the plants... a week if I hook up the Oasis waterer
* I can unplug the cabinets when guests are over to keep the grow private without worrying about the impact on the plants
* Maximizes the odd-sized cabinets I use for the grow
* It's very cheap to operate ( I even use the liquid ph testing instead of getting an expensive EC/Ph meter)
* It minimizes the visits to the hydro store

I also grow more than I ever need for myself, so pushing yeilds to the limit has no value to me.

To get better guidance, I would state your current circumstance, experience, budget and goals.
