New grow preview.....I've made up SIP buckets with 5 gallons buckets. Will be running organic soil mixed with some coco for better water retention. I'll also be adding some wicks for maximum usage of the reservoir below. Seeds germinating now include OG #18, Bodega Bubblegum (greenpoint seeds), Blue Dream, Liberty Haze and Green Crack.

What's the biggest thing you have noticed so far between the two styles of growing? From what I can see based on your pics it looks like the soil is better. What are your thoughts?

I prefer the soil to hydro. More forgiving. Less work. My next grow will be using SIP buckets with is soil with water res. underneath using only ph'd water.

Have you smoked any of the final product? If so how do you like the soil over hydro buds and was the yield comparable?

Just chopped today so won't have a smoke report til it's cured a bit. Stay tuned.

Hard to say on yield as the strains I directly compared to where small. My other hydro plant and my other two soil plants kicked ass. A bit disappointed with both Querkles.

Yes I have some Bubblegum, Purple Badlands (flo x stardawg) and Pioneer Kush (pre-98 bubba x stardawg) and some fem. freebies. Will wait to sex them before the best ones go in SIP buckets. Others will stay in 1.5 gal. soil buckets. Again, I'm up against a timeframe as we are selling our house and moving to Oregon in the next several months so I may have a very abbreviated veg time.
