DWC transition to LED issue yesterday, advice requested

Hi All,

I am on my first grow in a 2 x 4 x 6.5 ft Supercloset. It has been three weeks since germination and my three plants are doing good with 4 nodes.

Yesterday, I swapped from my fluorescents to my Kind XL600 LED. I had the light positioned about 40” above the plants, which was 6” more than the max. recommended by Kind. The cabinet temperature increased from 74 to 81 f and the humidity dropped from 54% to 40%. According to the VPD chart I have this is not a great place to operate. By the end of the day my plants had become much darker green, but they looked quite wilted. I didn’t want to take any chances and put them back under the fluorescents. They no longer have a wilted look.

I have ordered a humidifier which will be here tomorrow and there also is cooler weather in the forecast. I plan on trying the LED again soon.

Do you guys with more experience agree I did the right thing going back to the fluorescents or did I panic too easily? Thanks!

Nothing wrong with the action you took. You switched something... it gave undesired results so you reverted. Smartest thing to do imo. (Not that I have more experience lol)
