Sorry but it does help force rooting, (and stop transpiration). By eliminating foliage a cutting has to find other ways to absorb nutrients(other than from its leaves) so it begins to produce root shoots.

botanical research? no. theory, yes>

my seedling is still tiny. i was just looking through the pics and noticed the date on it. I'm not sure if I just forgot like 3 days of my life or something but my seedling is OLD!

I must be doing something wrong? My soil grows have never been this slow. It's just starting to get a root system outside the net pots on the bottom and just a lil bigger. It looks alright to me, but my PPM meter is telling me I only have 200ppm even though I've added like one tables spoon of ionic soil grow nutes. I was just going to use it for a day but I will be getting some proper hydro nutes tomorrow. I have no idea why it's so slowww.

yeah my pH was just a little under 7 and the soil nutes weren't doing shit. so i have the ppm around 520 with some proper hydro nutes and lowered the pH to a little under 6. now we'll see how fast she takes off!
