Im not sure if you are asking what your res temp/ph/ec should be or what? I am sure however that your res temps should be under 72*F, your ph should be between 5.4 and 6.2. You have a case of bacterial slime from poor res conditions &/or using organics. You will need to change out your res with fresh new ph'd water. I wouldnt use any nutes until after the flush. Add 1 cup of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide per gallon of water. This will clear up the bacterial problem along with oxygenating the water. If you dont have a bubbler stone in your res, I'd advise getting one very quickly.

@HydroRed thanks for your feedback
I was asking My res temp/ph/ec are all in the right range. Why would this happened?
I have bubble stone in the bucket
How long would you flush them? I can not find any food grade Hydrogen Peroxide around, can I use bleach instead?

I personally dont use bleach in my res but I use tap water which I'm sure has plenty of it in it already. You should be able to find any Hydrogen Peroxide at your local pharmacy or food/drug store. Not sure of your location, but it isnt hard to find at all for most. If you must use bleach I wouldnt exceed 5ml per gallon. That should be more than enough to eradicate even the toughest algea & bacteria on the roots without hurting the plants. As for flush, Id just run it until you see the issue is resolved and you notice the stuff that was on the roots is now mostly in the res like it washed off. Usually a couple days would probably do it but is something that you will have to determine since I know nothing of your plants or how they are set up etc. Once the problem clears, change out the water in the reservoir with fresh new ph'd water with nute solution.

*********If you are using organics or beneficials, I would go to something else that is synthetic since they dont create problems like this. Also, I'd advise going 1/4-1/3 strength of whatever the bottle of nutrients says to use. Best of luck!

thanks for the feedback again

Actually plants grow pretty well dont see any sign of stress on leaves.

I use bleach 5-8 drop per gallon to make sure root zone heathy. It works with my other plants.
drug grade Hydrogen Peroxide can be use? I am going to get one tomorrow
Do you use it in you it regularly or when you see problems?
I usually start with less than half strength nutrients
EC 0.6 early veg 1.2 veg 1.6 flowering
PH 5.8
as my tent temp is around 72F, res temp should be lower

I have a bottle hydroguard, Thats beneficials right? I think I am not sure how to use it properly.
Still cause root problem. thats why I use bleach to help the roots clean. If you have experiment with those beneficials, pls share your feeding schedule

The best thread on the interweb about root slime just happens to be on this forum my fellow dwc root slime sufferer. I just finished reading 90% of the 200 + pages and have beat the slime (for good I hope)

https://www.rollitup.org/t/dwc-root-slime-cure-aka-how-to-breed-beneficial-microbes.361430/page-202

You have to keep absolutely surgery room sterile with bleach and h2o2 (yuck) or you can follow this recipe and join the microbes party instead of the antiseptic route.

We need more info....whats your nutes...etc...etc.

I used organics but once warmer weather hit my res started getting skunky if I didnt change my res out frequently enough. The hydroguard should be combating this problem on an organic hydroponics grow. What are your res temps? Sounds as if you arent using the hydroguard enough to be effective or your res temps are getting too high.Use the hydroguard full strength as recommended on the bottle *unlike I suggested with the nutrients.

Ok, so if you are running organics, as soon as you put bleach or peroxide in your res -you just killed off all of the beneficia bacteria in your nutes rendering them useless and you basically now have a sewer in your reservoir.
This is where the hydroguard comes in. When used properly in an organic hydro grow, this should keep your res clean while not destroying the beneficials in your nute solution.

If you were to feed with synthetic nutrients (non organic) you could use bleach or peroxide to clean your reservoir without destroying your nutrient solution in your res.

If you run organic nutrients, -stop using bleach or peroxide. Only use the Hydroguard as recommended.

Sorry bro I already in bed.its still pretty cold recently, res temp should be somewhere around 72F.
What res temp can you have at highest point without having any roots problem?
How long do you can res?

Id say 68*F in the res is about perfect. Anything above 72 is asking for problems in my opinion.

I thought when grow in hydro nothing is organic??
If use hydroguard (beneficials, tea) don't need bleach or peroxide is that correct?
So what I need to do right now is flush them with hydroguard? Or flush with peroxide, wait for them recover, then add nutes and hydroguard?
Thanks

Synthetic nutes and Heisenburg tea...once the roots start coming back healthy and mine regrew very quick, you can say goodbye to bleach and h202 until your grow is over.
Ive been sooooo impressed I started bumping my temps up a few degrees AND experimenting with a little of the organic additives that came with my nutrient pack.
My res is clear as a bell and my plants loved the increase to 22-24 C.

I also decreased the air gap between my net pots and the nutrient solution in the buckets because I noticed the slime ONLY affected the roots in the air and not the solution.

But that's just me.....and the other hundreds or thousands who tried the tea since 2010.
Hands down saved my grow

Hi! I might be able to help answer your question. Im no grower but i spend allot of time on these forums reading posts constantly building a computer program that controls all the enviroment settings for growers world wide.

First off you have what is commonly known as root slime/root rot, this could be from a number of reasons however the most common tends to be to high res temps, light leaks, and neglected tool sterilization. Look into hiesnburgs tea i believe is what its called. Also go to your local hydro store and pick up some hydrogaurd or h202(ALSO NO ORGANICS with h202). They do sell h202 at the local drug store (walgreens, kroger etc) and it will mildly help but you are looking for at least 15% or up to 25%. Allot of people refer to h202 as a bandaid and others use it religiously throughout good luck

@Hawzzy @Steve Man Thanks for the feedback guys

Last night I have my res clean up and flush with ph tap water. with 5ml h202 per gallon
Hope it get well soon. I think I might have some light leak on the bucket that cause this problem.
Also have it all cover well last night.

I also check that hiesnburgs tea you guys mention. I cost me a lot to get all the parts it need and ship all the way to my location. Is there any pre-made tea that I can just buy it?
really like to try the beneficial tea, like you memtion your plants lobe it when 22-24C. This would be the res temp I have during most seasons. this would save me some bill for cooling the res.
Can I just use hydroguard as beneficials tea?

Is GH flora series, and maxi boom koolboom consider synthetic nutrients?
I thought every nutrients we use in hydro are all synthetic
happy grow

Im not hip with a ton of nutes since I just use FF grow big for hydro and Humboldt ginormous additive for my P & K. If the label states it has any kind of "Guano" or "worm Castings" or anything from a once living organism -its an organic nute. Basically if it has any form of "poop" in it. I looked at the gh flora series and the maxi bloom and Im pretty sure they are both synthetics which brings me to your original issue. If you have bacterial slime in your res without the use of organics, then you have another factor causing the slime like res temps being too hot(but not likely if you are at 22-24*C),not enough aeration/circulation in res, light getting into the res etc. Hydroguard can be used on both organic and synthetic nutes. I would be using it as a routine safeguard anyways whether there was a problem or not if you already have it. I just use h202 since I run synthetics and the h202/water is so cheap and readily available.

Gh flora series and koolbloom are synthetic salt based nutrients yes. There are some organic hydro nutrients now too.
The main ideas behind the tea are to create a a diverse array of different bennies and when you brew it at home you can use far less than putting it directly into your ressie. The most diverse brew will include myco fungi as well.
Most will say those res temps are too high...just working for me now that my plants are recovered and slime is defeated. They grow noticeably faster at 22.
