How long should you run your water pump? do you eave it running while the lights are off? would adding more airstones make a difference? How often should i be checking the ph? what a good ppm of nutes for younger plants?

24/7. More air stones for larger containers? Sure if it helps you sleep at night. Check PPM daily. Start young plants with low PPMs, your plants will tell you what they need. Keep in mind every strain is different.

4 bucket DWC - Have large airstones in each plant bucket, 2 in resevoir run by a commercial pump. Ran circulating pump 15 min on 45 min off 24/7. they loved it. check PH and PPM every day/twice a day. start at 200PPM and build up weekly to about 1000+PPM for flowering or so (some like more - some like less).

if the ph of my tap water is 7.0 starting off am i going to need a shit load of ph down? or should i just invest in distilled

stealth hydro sent me some sort of chyrstal ph down with my kit and they really didnt have any instruction or how much to use. seems like a pain in the ass
My dwc's are on 24/7 i use 6 inch air stones in my 10ltr and 21ltr buckets. I just turn my pump right down at night but just enough to keep them stones bubbling. With regards to ph, this is a key element when growing in any media, you need to get the ph in hydro down to 5.5 - 6.0 anything outside this the plant won't absorb the nutes it needs.

I am getting fantastic results with a High Performance Rez that I developed. Nutes recirculate constantly during lights on, flooming over river rock, then cascading back into the rez. Plants get 2 night feedings which semi-circulates the nutes. Thinking to run stones at night while flooming is off

Here's a tip: Use a stainless steel wood screw or machine screw in place of your air-stone. It can never plug up, and you can adjust the amount of bubbles by screwing it into or out of the air-line.

I got the stealth hydro set up and was wondering if there any mods to it that i can make to get a better yeild. seems like i can only fit 2 plants at max growth
