I've used DWC since DWC was popularized years ago and have really enjoyed it. I thought I'd refresh my use of nutes and try to go with something more organic based and absolutly destroyed my last crop. I usually am a conservative when it comes to nute solutions and the Pura Vida line created such an amazing sludge that even with intense purging & cleaning, I could not recover the crop. 
Now as I've read a bit in hindsight am I to understand that organics in a DWC are just not really a match due to the sludge idea?
I usually grow one or two plants, scrog, on top of a res (15g) (roots in the res) with pump and air stones. I top off water e/o/d and purge every 2 weeks.
Since I don't want this to happen again should I migrate back to something more synthetic? What are some good formulas drifting around these days, the local grow store seems to be inundated with more products than I am familiar with and I really don't like getting into heavy discussions there.
