DWC Or Ebb & Flow

So I have recently obtained a personal production license from the government, and I'm looking forward to growing my first crop, something I have not done since the 1990s. A lot is changed since then, and I am really looking forward to the abundance of information and expertise available in forums like these.
First off my set up. I'm going to run a 600 W HPS in a 3 x 5 x 7 room, scrubbed through a six-inch cool tube. I have discovered that the best strains for my personal needs tend to be indica. My question is this. Would you recommend a 2 x 4 ebb & flow table with an SOG set up, or maybe six larger DWC tubs, double topped, in a space that size? What sort of yield can I realistically expect?
I'm looking forward to any suggestions, experiences, or input you may have. Tx.

i run sog w/ a 4ftx6ft f&d table, but ive run dwc buckets too, its up to u both work well but imo i think the ebb n flow is easier to run and keep clean...pluss in the sog u keep veg time to a minimum, i veg clones for 2 weeks max, in a larger dwc bucket system peop-le can veg for months just to fill in the canopy before bloom then add time for recovery if topping,,,i clip the top off a rooted clone then veg 2 weeks, clean it off and put it in bloom,, 30 plants on a 4x6 table,, canopy is full by 2nd week of bloom,,, i like SOG but its all up to you the grower and what is easiest for u,,how much time u want to put in your garden??

with a 600 watt hps and lots of experience ive pulled 1.3 grams per watt,, however i switched over tobthe 315 watt ceramics a few years ago,, my first run pulled 1.4 grams per watt,, better than 20 years w/ hps and mh.. i now average 1.6 grams per watt with 2 315 watt ceramics over my sog table...pluss im saving on electric,, my 4x6 table used to be covered w 2 600 watt hps, now 2 315 watt ceramics and yield is a bit less but its a far better gram per watt, 1200 watts total hps now 630 watts cdl and better gpw's, better spectrum, plants finish a week sooner under cdl spectrum,, room is way cooler too...

What size pots do you recommend for the table? Coco?

i have been growing a looong time,, never had luck with soil indoors,,ive ran airo w/ no medium,,still do for clones, co-co, grow rocks, and rock wool.. all work well, but i had a hard time keeping the ph stable with co-co but once i figured it out i had great results.. now i use rock wool blocks,, it costs a bit more because you can only use a block once but its much easier than cleaning roots out of co-co or grow rocks.i use 3inchx4inchx4inch blocks on the f&d table and also 3x3 cubes in 3inch net pots when i run my home built nft,, made it with 4inch pvc,,
ive done a 5 year study w/ nutrients and additives,, from 2000-2005, since then i use general hydroponics maxi or nova series, both simple 1 p[art grow, 1 part bloom, the maxi is a powder and a bit harder to mix with water but its cheap and produces killer,, the nova is great too, killer and adds that organic taste,,however ive found a 3-5 day flush at the end leaves bud chemical free and really allows u to get the true taste of that strain..
as for additives,,most are a waste of money, they provide no difference in yield, quality or taste so long as the base nutrients u use are good, like maxi and nova..
i use 1 additive,, kool bloom powder,,not the liquid its worthless.. the powder kool bloom is used for only the last 2 weeks of bloom and in side by side tests it increased bud size and finished plants 5-7 days sooner than plants w/out it..

i used to have 30-40 bottles of nutes, now my list is simple
maxi grow/maxi bloom, kool bloom powder, general hydroponics kleen(for flushing and cleaning), i use mad farmer get down for ph but i very seldom need to adjust ph as the maxi once mixed gets the ph of my tap water to a perfect 5.8 if i use 1 tsp per gallon,, if i use 1n a half tsp ph is 5.5... if i use r/o water u need to add cal/mag but most tap waters contain the wright amount for thriving plants...

Great information. Thanks Chemist. I'll pick your brain one more time, and then leave you alone. For my 2 x 3.5 x 5 veg/mother/clone box, T5? Or do you think these led grow lights are worth a damn?

ive heard good things about cob led utilizing cxb 3070 or cxb 3590's by cree, normally run at 50 watts per chip,, im interested in buying one myself but afraid that led tech seems to improve so quickly id hate to invest in a unit that would be obsolete in a month...T5'S are good for clones but the bulbs need to be close to plants,,for veg id want a lamp with more penetration like a metal halide or even a good 6500k cfl,,the mh being far superior,, led may be a good choice but do alot of research before buying one as alot of them are cheap crap,,a good one will run you near $500.00 for a 300 watt cob that will cover a 4x4ft area in veg or a 3x3ft in bloom,, i like gogreen, johnson, and pacific lights best but there are lots to choose from.. for a 2ftx3.5ftx5ft room a small 200 watt from gogreen will do the trick,, if you go with metal halide youll need to deal with the heat produced but a 250watt will easily cover that space,, or u can get a few 150 watt cfl bulbs w/less heat but more penetration than T5 light strips...

dwc all the way my friend easy to maintain and excellent yields especially if you compare to soil....go with dwc mate...
