dwc first clone\grow root growth slowed plz help

this is my first serious grow , and also my first shot at dwc as well as cloning.... i tried the rockwool with propagation dome (the jiffy setup sold at lowes) and a dwc system both at the same time.... the dwc worked faster the rockwool never took so im sticking with just dwc no medium. ok so first im in a 4x3x6 grow room im only using a 150w 6500 cfl Full spectrum light to clone with i have it about a foot above my system and off to the side to avoid direct light..used rootech gel for my cuttings , tap water ph'd sumwhere between 5.5-6.0 i use the ph up down liquid testing method. have my light on 24hrs , day 6 got fuz day 7 roots showing , and were growing Fast i could see the growth every few hours, the whole section of stem i have below the lid is covered in roots the top around 3/4 inch and about maybe 1/2 inch at the bottem closest to water. my stem is just barely above water..i am on day 10 now and havent seen a whole lot of root growth in the last 2 days dont seem to be getting much longer roots although i have seen new roots popping up... changed my res, added just a wee bit of superthrive (less then a teaspoon in approx 8 gallons of water and just wee bit of mg quick start which i probably shoulda never used but again only 2 cap fulls in 8 gallons of water and the actual mixing called for 4 cap fulls in 8 gallons . i have 1 dual pump with 2 10 inch airstones , and 1 -1 line airpump with a single 10 airstone. im going to be transplanting directly into hydroton which i actually have pre soaking already but was wondering 1st how long should my roots be before placing into net cup and hydroton and more importantly why did my root growth slow down is this norman and how fast from the time roots show should they be growing ... im not getting any new vegitation which i believe im not supposed to but again im not sure... my bottom set of leaves started to yellow just before rooting and where sucked completely yellow and dieing by the time my roots were out so i went ahead and cut mid leaf stem... also all my other fan leaves are cut in half...should i start giving more light? should i cut my light cycle down to 20/4 to help boost root growth? or am i doing right just impatient... i already have fox farm nutes havent used them yet but that is what i will be using , when should i give my first dose.... i will get pictures on here later but like i said my roots look uber healthy super white and probably about 30 roots i mean they are shooting out of everywhere

P.s. strain is supposedly blue dream., and i also have two more 250w cfl full spectrum lights not being used yet , also one 4inch air intake fan ,and one 4inch exhaust fan both havent been turn on yet, when should i start using my fans

anyone got any feedback for me ? in the mean time imma give them 6hrs of dark and see how that goes also just filled up my spare res and ph'd with plain tap so if dark dont help imma swap the res out

Once I root my clones they go onto the same feed ec and ph that the mothers where on at time of taking the clones. Not sure if this will help you or not.

thanks zypheruk i had a second plant start rooting and both plants have been now transplanted to hydroton and both now have grown threw the bottom of my net cups and into the res, first clone still lookes pretty shitty hoping new growth will start soon, i have been nute feeding thru the top of the hydroton by puring as close to the stem as i can and letting in dripp thru every12 hours gonna wait two more days then change the res and add the nutes directly to the tank... new question can i use Beneficial Bacteria from the Fish Department at petsmart or is this a different type of beneficial bacteria , as id like to have sumtype of protection and heard h202 cant be used at the same time as nutes

I only run sterile buckets so no idea on beneficial bacteria.
Nute wise im using Ionic Hydro Grow and Ionic Hydro Bloom 1 part feeds and some pythoff, not had any need for anything else. Keep it simple.

I feed clones at an EC of 0.5 and bigger veg plants at EC 0.8 and in flower EC 1.0 my tap water is EC 0.4 and keep my PH at 5.8 - 6.2, my water temps at 18.5c constant.

DWC especially bubble buckets require very light EC's or the plants will burn from over feeding. Less is better so don't be tempted to add more it won't work, and cause lock ups of nutrient uptake.

Fill your buckets so the water is just touching your net pot and the bubbles should keep the roots in the net pots damp, once they get a few inches into the water let the water level sit 1-2 inches below the net pot. Keep temps no higher than 21c and you should have no problems with roots. No more feeding from the top.

thanks zyph....aparrently i started off all wrong but my babies pulled thru.my first clone im pretty sure was nute burn from feeding to much nutes, im using fox farms trio "grow big, big bloom, tiger bloom" as reccomended with there feeding schedule problem was at first i was feeding before it rooted , which is how i stunted growth , how ever after flushing she is now getting new growth that looks good but all the orginal growth looks like shit, clone 2 i starved till she rooted "using only rootech clone gel and superthrive" till roots showed on day 7 , waited till roots were about 2 inchs while i soaked my hydroton in quick start , transplanted with no shock, then once the roots started poking out the bottom , that when i top fed with half strength nutes once in the morning once at night .now each of the girls have id say 20 roots each at about six inches long,waters about 1/2 inch below netpots , my clones are under 24/7 light , 250w cfl about 6 inches above , ph is between 5.5 and 6.0 ( my ec/tds/ph pen wont be here till monday so im using the liquid testing method for ph) my water temp with clone one was 72-f how ever now that i got that brighter light on them now its around 80-f, my roots are super white tho, i change the res every 3 days.. my res has two 12 inch airstones , one 10inch airstone. roots are bright white havent nute fed at all today i think imma switch my res and give a tiny res feeding till my pen gets here ... thanks again for responding

oh btw clone one seems to have a mag defiency which is whats making it look like shit, im guessing this since theres rust colored spots on it. i ordered some call mag.. clone 2 looks healthy as shit except i havent cut off the two lower branches that went completely dead from cannibilizing during rooting .just went down starts to check on them and to my suprise clone 2 now has a few roots that are growing hairs off the side , they kinda look like spines lol im guessing thats a good thing cuzz my new growth doubled in size from yesterday

clone ones obviously the worse of the two new growth showing at the top that looks significantly better then bottom. clone 2 showing new growth at the top and one new leaf coming out of th bottom node which is why i havent cut it off ...what ya think?
