I believe if I move to Co later this year like I would like to I'll be converting my grow to a vertical light, and some bushes instead of my current SOG.

I just lollipopped her taking off most of the main under branches. It's been really looking not well lately with majority of curling and yellowing edges. Im flushing tonight. Im adding the full cyco nute lineup just to introduce it to a lot of new additives so hopefully deficiences won't be a problem.

Help! I think I have wind burn. I had a small black fan on its lowest setting blowing over the canopy on a rack type thing but the plant got too big for the rack so I put the fan on the floor pointing at the plant. A day later I check it and it looks like it has nute burn and shit.

Should I just point the fan at the wall instead of the plant? Im a week away from flower I need help from experienced hydro'ers! PPM 300 pH 5.7 Room temp 74 Light's 400w MH About a foot away being constantly cooled by an inline fan... will it fix itself/

The fan was probably keeping your canopy cool...

Whenever you moved the fan the canopy temperatures probably rose... Try raising your light a few inches and that should fix your leaf curl!!!

It was definitely the lights, or should be. You should have them a little bit higher, and make sure you aren't over feeding her. Underfeeding is better than overfeeding. Overfeeding causes more problems than anything. Also, you need to make sure you are cropping and fiming now.

I deleted my comment about the hood, just installed my 600w HPS . I have a Brinks home security timer. How would I program it to turn off from 7PM to 7AM?

I'm two days into flower today I'll take pics later. But question about my res. I checked today and I had some decently thick foam on the inside of the bucket and some sitting on top of the water. My water is constantly < 65 degrees F and Im pretty sure I have no light leaks. Im running the full Cyco Platinum series does anyone have any idea what this might be?

Foam usually is a precursor to algae in my experience. And regarding the 600, you will get some dense nuggets with that.

I don't understand how it could be algae when my res temps are constantly sub 65 degrees. Im pretty sure all my light leaks are completely gone I'm really confused.

I really wish I could just have smooth sailing through flowering. As you can see multiple leaves got fuxed over due to me not having everything down like an experienced grower would. Some days I would flush two days after I just flushed because I was seeing things go bad. Hopefully strong medicine will be produced from this plant. I have no ppm meter right now so I'm just trying to stay at 5.5 pH and 15 mL of Bloom A+B of Cyco and 10mL of CalMag w/ some h2o2 added in there.

After a long hard journey I have finally come to a sad conclusion. My plant has died the third week in flowering from unknown causes. It's very discouraging. I do not think I'll be attempting another grow. Thank everyone on the thread for the help and support and a big thanks to rollitup in general for being a great community.

Unfortunate. But why quit and and waste all the time you spent learning? It was your first grow and you chose the slightly more advanced route of hydroponics. And you grew a beautiful plant. I say, paint or wrap your bucket better, use black air tubing, fill your netpots ALL THE WAY up, use the H2O2 from the get go, and try again. From reading this entire thread, it is my opinion that every single issue you had was root/res related. A little heat issue, but I think you just had to back the lights off a bit. You have the equipment and a few ideas of what not to do. Whats to lose by giving it another go? Just my thoughts on the subject.

Dude don't give up. You can succeed if you really want it. Other than a few issues you did great!! Sorry for the loss.....

Man I wish I saw this thread in time before your plant passed away, I had many of the same issues my first grow, but was able to make an early harvest. All I can say is don't give up! Take all of this as a learning experience! Try buying a book on growing (I recommend "The Cannabis Grow Bible") read it front to back and start anew. Some of your issues such as the leaves curling most likely seemed to be nute deficiencies, but also light could have been getting to the roots from the buckets bright color.
