duz this set up look decent enough

all my lights are 24watt CFL will this work with my older plant and the ones sprouting

much more light is needed.... theres no incandescent light in there, is there?
just wondering, the glow from the 2 bulbs over the cups look like incandescent lighting

nope like i said there all 24watt cfl lights its been working with my bigger plant also i think i might just experiment grown and grow them on a 12 12 from the get go just to see what happens

Its a great set up...if your 12.

You can always throw in some more CFLs as needed and as they get bigger. But yeah, you can rock out with an inexpensive setup like that if you aren't expecting to grow big plants and aren't expecting huge yields. Great way to get into growing and have a little personal smoke of excellent quality.

50 watts per square foot to flower

lets just say you did flower those 3 plants with the lighting you have. Im guessing you would yeild just a few grams. True its good experience, but i would be totally disappointed if i spent that much time and effort for so little. I started out with a 150 watt hps and it worked out great.

no this is my first grow im sorry im a noob i get it i was looking at all the hps 150 watt and my yeild would be around 83 grams but i would need at least 2 150 watt hps and i have to order everything offf line cuz i dont think i can find anything around here....can i?? but i know i need more light do you think i should throw more cfls on till i get some hps and how meany more 24watt cfl would be sufficent like idk 6 or7

not exactly sure mane, ive never used cfl. i would imagine just using surge protectors

ok, now that I had my smart ass post and you didn't cry like a baby about it I'll throw some advice your way. It seems like security or what not isn't a huge concern as your shit is just out in the open, which is fine. If your going to grow 6 plants.. your going to want a 400 watt HID light for them. All light is not created equal and the light coming off a CFL simply does not have the penetrating power that a HID bulb has. So by the time you buy all those expensive CFLs and string them together in some sort of screwball fashion, you could have bought a "real" grow light and harvested a pound.

A 400w hood, ballast, and bulb will run you about $250? Decent nutrients will cost you another $100. If your growing in the open your not going to have to worry so much about regulating temperature and humidity and what not and you still get a good harvest. Plus, you'll have a "legit" system that will have the capacity to turn out some nice sized and potent buds...IF you do your homework.

Many ways to skin a cat my friend. I'm likely quite a bit older than you so unfortunately I don't have a shit load of free time. If I did, playing around with some CFL''s and what not probably not too bad of an idea. The only other catch is that production of schedule a narcotics is not something you want to deal with. So why take the risk if your not going to reap some serious benefits from it? I mean, it not like the cops are going to say "awww,come on, this is like 6 weak sauce plants under common CFLs; Lets just let him off with a warning". Just something to think about.

First grow? Just get some more CFL's. You will need alot more!!

Do some searches on CFL's. You should be able to find some threads that explain which spectrum you need for each stage, and also how to calculate how many CFL's you will need.

Also, get the book, "buds for less". It will show you step by step on how to grow with CFL's. I recomend that book to everyone first starting out!

i think your setup is suitable for TWO plants but only in veg. but hey, what do i know? i just started myself and its goin maaaad slow breddah

Seeing how you have such limited resources you might want to learn how to veg and clone before you turn to budding. This will give you the time to setup something adequit for growing bud.
