Dual Spectrum Lighting

Hey, i have been growing my plants under a 400 watt MH and a 100 Watt HPS with CFL supplementation. I am now trying to bloom my plants, and i was wondering what to do with my 400 watt light. The ballast is a HPS ballast and i got a MH conversion bulb, so i can run both on the same ballast. Should i swich over to the HPS or is there any benefit in keeping the MH during the bloom because i already have the 100 watt and duel spectrums might be nice.

Another thing to consiter is that these plants get around 6-8 hours of sunlight as my grow room has a window. is this enough to make up for the blue spectrum deficencey? anyway please let me know what you think. Thanks

to start with if your going to flower them you cant have a window they need 12 hours complete dark. myself i would just use 400 watt hps for flowering. you could use the 100 watt but if you want bigger nugs 400. you should definately have more of the flower spectrum than the veg

wait. . i planned on using both the 100 and 400 watt theres nothing wrong with that right? . . . . also is there any kind of built in limit for how much light a plant can take? i have an air conditioner in my grow room so heat isnt a problem. how much light is too much?

you can use that set up if you want but the hps will give bigger and more dense nugs. there is no limit on the amount of light, the only restriction would be heat ( ac solves that) the more light the more growth and bigger better nugs.
