theres hast (have) or hasst (hate), with identical pronunciation. so its meaning depends alot on syntax

it changes subtly during the song in places.

i need to learn german

ive tried spanish and italian, my mind cant wrap around male/female noun/verb/everything. itss too much. in italian theres a word for "bus" "male bus" and "female bus" all based on occupancy. its nightmarish to me neurons.

but maybe german, the syntax is close enough to english

I always thought it was hate.

the album list it as "hast" or maybe they just didnt have a font with that funny little B thing that sometimes replases two s's in german
