Drying Temp and RH Help

Just harvest my Early Skunk. It’s the first one into the dry tent, but my conditions are 65F and RH 50%. I’m running a fan for circulation, and an inline with filter for smell. I know ideally, people like to keep it around 60 RH for a slow cure, but will I be okay with my current conditions? Trying to avoid adding humidity to this tent.

Turn down the power on the extraction to help get the RH up another 8-12%.
You may want to avoid high humidity, but you want to avoid a fast dry even more.

I mean, I have a humidifier, but not one that has an inkbird or any type of shut off, so really trying to avoid a whole new system set up. Is it worth it, to go the extra mile and buy some controls? My basement is pretty dry this time of year, so I’m not sure I can get the rh higher. Fan is pretty low and the rooms RH is lime 44. Is having a faster dry, although not ideal… gonna cost me in taste or density? What will I be missing without a slower cure?

No need for the humidifier if you have the plant in the tent with decent temps & rh. I think that you’re overthinking a little, and just getting paranoid, which is understandable. Don’t sweat it tho. Just keep the tent sealed up aside the extraction running, but dial it down enough to maintain rh above 55 and no higher than 60-62% as long as air is moving via the inline fan + a small fan pointed toward a corner of the tent so the air spreads out, you should be fine.

A fast dry will almost all the time get you a more rough smoke. That’s even if you can catch it at the right time. The outside will seem a lot drier than the inside. The moisture is best released slowly & evenly.
If you can keep the environment dialed in for 14 days.. I’d do it.
I’m no professional, but you sacrifice & risk a lot when you try cutting corners in the end.

Automation tools.. worth it imo. Nothing beats kicking back while you get what you pay for. High emphasis on the end there.

I use a small Vicks humidifier for both my grows and drying. Allows me to control the RH in the area. I also do the fan at low into the corner bit. It's also in the basement so the temperatures are about 17 - 18°C. Works pretty well for me, but every situation is different. I've lucked out with my setup.
