Drying my buds and have a question

This is my first harvest and I've got my buds hung up with string in a closet with plenty of ventilation to dry. It's been two days now and I'm noticing little droplets of what looks like water on the outside of the buds in random spots. If I touch the liquid though it's insanely sticky and feels like syrup. Is this just the resin glands or a sign of mold?

sounds like resin, mold isn't sticky it's slimy if anything. I've heard of gooey strains but I've never grown anything like it. Better put a pan out to catch it if it looks like it's going to drip !

Ahh cool. I really thought it was water until I touched it. I swear, it's as sticky as if I stuck my finger in glue. Can't wait until it's dry. I flash dried some via the microwave and while the high wasn't bad it definitely wasn't great either. (Not to mention harsh and smelled nasty)

Just in case anyones wondering the strain is NL#5 x Big Bud.

Give it a month at least before you throw it out in disgust

Bad experience with the strain?

It seems like it'll be tasty man when properly cured. It smells like oranges and wintergreen. No clue about the high just yet considering all I've tried is flash dried bud so far and thats hardly a hint at what it'll be like when done. I chopped her down early though to make room for some fem'd white widow from greenhouse. :mrgreen:

Ahhh.. I think I misunderstood you too. I get it, you were responding to me talking crap about the quick dry bud lol. Well, from what I understand quick dry makes it far less potent. I'd say the highs about a 7 maybe 8 now. I'm hoping properly drying/curing makes that a ten. :blsmoke:

I guess nobody's on my off beat wave length tonight.
I grew some Blueberry that smelled great growing but not cured, sorry I even grew it, it barely got me high. It got left at the back of the stash for months as it was never getting me off. I overdosed the last time I tried it, it had improved that much.

Yea I concur. The longer u cure the better it gets. Kinda did the same with my first batch almost threw it out actually, till i cracked the jar maybe a month later. Just sticky icky dude happens regularly. Ive grown nl, i wouldnt say it drips resin but its frosty for sure good job.

i've grown this strain before very sticky and it is a beautiful smoke after about 6 week cure but tastes nice after about 2 :) makes wonderful bubble hash too
