Drying leaves for....

I have a lot of leaves from my WW's that I will be harvesting soon and I want to save them for hash, cannabutter, canna oil, ect. I have been looking around on RIU for the day and can't really find anything about it. Am I supposed to leave these leaves that are covered with trichromes on the plant when I hang it up to dry or should I trim them off before I hang up my buds? If I trim them off, do they dry on their own or what? What is the best way to store the leaves because I don't know if I will have enough from one grow to make anything decent. :joint:

I trimmed mine off, but this is my first grow so don't take my word for it. I read though that, when making hash, the cuttings should be put in the freezer before rubbing them on the silk screen so that the trichs will detach more easily. gonna go put mine in the freezer now...thanks for the reminder ;-)

Thanks for the response. What if you're making cannabutter or oil then? If the FAQ I am pretty sure you put all the trimmings in and then filter the leaves or weed out later when the THC has been absorbed. So could I just cut them off and store in the freezer for now, or let them dry and then store? hmm... :joint:
