So ive got a bigass garage, and i reallllly dont wan to dry in my house because that shit will stink up everywhere. Can i just throw them in the garage somewhere? ive got plenty of space, and whether it need to be a big space, or small and confined, ive got either. Wondering what ill need to dry them well. I would prefer to degrade the thc as little as possible, so what am i gunna need to have a good dry? temps outside have been in the 80's recently, cant say for sure what the temp in my garage is normally at. Ill probly go buy a temp/humidity gauge soon so i can know for sure. I live in the middle of nowhere, so being subtle and masking the smell or whatever isnt an issue as well. thanks guys :D

I use my garage sometimes... I just try to keep as much light out as possible while drying, and set my dehumidifier at 50%

make sure you have plenty of air circulation.... it does tend to be warmer and depending on location quite humid... perfect conditions for MOLD! But like i said as long as you got good air circulation you should be straight... I tend to dry in my grow tent.. with my fan and carbon filter avoiding mold and stink! :) best of luck and gratz on the harvest dude!

I hang big buds on hangers, either using the "v" of plant branch or close pins. I dry smaller buds in mesh type plastic boxes (for air) and sometimes cardboard box tops.

thanks a lot man. I might get a dehumidifier if its necessary, but if not then ill skip it. Ill throw a fan in there to to keep the air circulation.

I spread out the buds hanging and small ones in boxes (not touching another) to help air circulation and prevent mold.

sweet, should i probly get something with holes in it for the small nugs?
No need to. You can use a cardboard box/top or small paper lunch bags (or grocery bags cut down). Turn/move nugs one or two times a day. Make sure buds are spread out and not on top of another.

I'm drying in my garage. Got a therm. and humidity gauge (forgot the name of them)plus a fan running constantly. Temps outside have been high 80's low mid 50's. Been able to keep temps inside close to 70 and humidity from low 50's to low 60's. I open up the garge doors a little several times a day to get new air flowing through. I bought a cheap roll of screen and made some drying racks. So far everything been drying nicely. I cut down to single buds then lay them out so I can usually dry a batch in about 4 to 5 days, then into jars. I was leery at first but my garage is well insulated and thank god the temps dropped recently. Try putting some gauges in your garge and see what kind of numbers your getting in there. You'll need to look up ideal temps and humidity I can't exactly remember. Good luck.

I sure you could fine one accurate enough for fairly cheap. I haven't priced them in years so I couldn't tell you how much.

the garage will be fine. just keep a small fan circulating the air . to prevent mold. I would not waste money on a dehumidifier just for drying unless you pushing 80 % humid all the time like a rain forest . just turn on the fan so it blows next to your items being dried not directly onto them. and give it 3 or 4 days to total dry.
