Drying and BHO

I am making BHO and want to know how necessary the drying and curing process is. My process is standard butane flash with dewinterization.

I am doing a test run in a dehydrator but the rest have drying (standard 50% RH and fan). I am also doing another test run by decarboxylating and extracting.

How necessary is the slow dry and cure process for this?

Would love to have the gear to do live resin, either that or do a freeze dried version.

I tried the dehydrator method 95F for 14 hours. Worked pretty well and the flavor was pretty good. Once the rest of the harvest is dried ill do a batch of that and compare.
